Experience: 5 - 10 years PQE

Approximate salary: 10-18 lakhs p.a. commensurate with profile and past experience

Practice area specialisation required:  Corporate and commercial laws, including banking, financial, securities and taxation laws, background in M&E and PE, and having prior knowledge of corporate and transactional advisory; and/or, Real estate, land laws (Maharashtra-specific) 

Job description:

• Be involved in the day-to-day activities and initiatives of the firm;

• Be responsible for team building in area of specialization

• Be given independent charge of matters assigned, with minimal supervision

• Prepare and finalise contracts and other documents

• Represent the firm before various courts and tribunals

• Be responsible for Drafting and Vetting legal documents viz. Plaints, Petitions, Appeals, Complaints, Arbitration Claims, Written Statements, Rejoinders, Affidavits, Written Arguments, Notices & reply to notice in Civil, Criminal and Consumer matters independently

• Brief counsels for the matters assigned

• Be willing to supervise and mentor Juniors for writing articles on latest developments in law and policy, for publishing in various legal journals and on websites

• Develop in-house capability on legal aspects 

Candidate requirements:

• Dedicated, self-motivated, pragmatic, hard working 

• Proficiency in reviewing and drafting legal documents across sectors and good research skills

• Candidates having finance, commerce, tax or business background shall be preferred 

• Prior litigation and arbitration experience shall be an advantage

• Efficiency, productivity and quality will be the key performance indicators
