Very disillusioned with academia. People fresh out of LLM are being hired as APs in tier 1 NLU and I'm not even being considered for shitty private colleges. Everytime I open LinkedIn, I feel like taking Sanyas and becoming a Buddhist monk- if only I had the calibre for that.

If anyone knows how the internship goes, how to get a ppo, timings, team, pros and cons etc etc
Specifically, I am asking about the interview shortlisting criteria of firms and not subsequent hiring during interview. I would appreciate it if the criteria for Tier 1 firms (individually) are stated.
Also, I have heard that for the batch of 2024, there was a considerable difference in the shortlisting criteria. For the batch of 2023 and before, rank was not very important, but now it is. Is this true? Or is it because for 2024 firms were on a freeze, so they considered only top rankers?
You must accept the current scenario that you may not be the best qualified for a corporate law job. Please look for a good female mentor in litigation. Assist your mentor in client meetings, research, drafting, filing and court appearances. Your confidence levels, eye contact, body language, knowledge, etc., will all improve month by month. Your mental health too.
I’ve drawn a certain simple roadmap for the future with my desire to get placed with a senior advocate (the likes of Amit Sibal, Siddharth Luthra, Gopal Sankaranarayanan etc) that would pay me well enough post-graduation. I’ve absolutely zero contacts (pure first gen)
My plan initially involves learning the work from advocates who are not very famous, advocates with a very tight knit team where I get to be the part of each and every case with loads of work, especially in the fields where I find interest.
After that, I am thinking about working for AORs in my third and fourth year to build up legal acumen to support the senior adv in future. Post that I’d like to bombard senior adv for internships, assessments and stuff.
Is this the correct approach or should I make amends somewhere?

My roomie got sick and tired of me. Asked me to go outside and play. I went downstairs. It was chilly. I had just snorted the best coke that my gf scored from CDG. So I didn't feel very cold.
I walked around the campus for an hour. Whistling and occasionally trying to play Sherlock's theme. Saw a couple of people try to locate me through flashlight. It was from the faculty area / Girls Hostel. Place was deserted. Lot of echoing. So I laughed. I saw some people trying to walk towards me. Quickly scaled the wall and went to the fields. Started laughing in delight. Ran across towards the side where football field is now located. Made weird noises. Freaked out when I thought that I stepped over something. It was a friend who was on an LSD trip. I quickly peed on his face and ran towards my hostel room. An adventurous night it was.
