We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Tatas also don't want bad press. It will be interesting to know how TERI is running without govt financing and overt control. It used to be the Tata Energy Research Institute. Then the Tatas were eased out of naming rights by a powerful Delhi lobby.
NLUs already pay shit to their army of contractual teach etc. Instead consider what central univs will be doing to their contractual employees.
Doesn't help with job, judiciary etc
Firms like Crawford Bayley, CAM, JSA and S&R have a good capital markets team. Other firms that you can consider is Indus, Khaitan and SAM.
Or other T-1s? KCO, CAM, Trilegal, AZB
2) All are humans! Anyone can "change their attitude" (People will not be static but dynamic in nature) - Anyway, why are you "generalizing" faculties? - May be the Faculties which you are referring and I am pointing is different!
3) Academic Integrity and Academic Ethics if free from "Personal Grudge" - I am raising the points with Proof - You can cross-check the same (By looking into the Website of IIULER or File an RTI to BCI)
4) Faculties must provide "support" to get ID Cards and Remote Access - There is no Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Director, Joint Director, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Public Relations Officer etc at IIULER. Even there is no PhD Coordinator. So, to whom Students will raise their concern? It's the Teachers. The faculties over there must take initiative to provide such things! (I don't know whether you are a faculty or not, if yes, try to understand the Role of a Teacher is not limited only for teaching! They must be the students pillar of strength, support and raise voices for them) - Moreover, IIULER is charging India's Highest Fees (LLB - 12 Lakhs, LLM - 10.5 Lakhs, PhD - 1.4 Lakhs all including Residential Charges except PhD) - So, why can't they atleast provide Remote Access Database, a good Library facility or at least ID Cards! - I Hope the Point is clear for you!
5) It will be a great help if "you can direct who is the Admin/the person to whom issues at IIULER be raised (Since, you are having a very good friendship with the Faculties!)
6) So, are you stating to file complaint against your Friends (Faculties at IIULER)?
7) Who said you that I have joined IIULER? Can a Legal Academician like me can observe these things from outside? (Its your personal judgment that I am a student at IIULER!)
8) The people who responded to you that IIULER is run by BCI Trust is wrong (Partially) - It's run by BCI Trust - PEARL FIRST (established in 2020) - It is an INDEPENDENT and AUTONOMOUS BODY and is not a Part/Unit of BCI - Please check the BCI Notifications or file an RTI to BCI and UGC - You will get the answer (May be the People whom you know is also deciving you! That's what I am saying, they are just deciving everyone!)
9) So, please make arguments after checking the Fact - GO with the ORIGINAL and BE the ORIGINAL!
1. In the U.S., there is no such thing as a PhD in law being a 'terminal degree' for U.S. lawyers (i.e., those who have a JD from there). The S.J.D. many unis have is a doctoral degree designed for foreign lawyers who will become academics in foreign countries. Most S.J.D. graduates aren't recruited by U.S. law schools, even those with fancy UK degrees. The JD is a 'terminal degree', as it is done as a graduate degree. Many legal academics there have PhDs in other disciplines before doing a JD, or work towards a PhD in something else (e.g., history, philosophy) while pursuing their JD.
2. You mentioned scholars such as Shubhankar Dam. It is true that there are such people, but they are becoming increasingly rare in the UK, especially at senior levels (at least at the so-called 'Russell Group universities'). A PhD is increasingly a requirement there, and it's very hard to be recruited as an academic these days without one, so much so that an academic there once described the practice of recruiting people to senior positions who didn't have a PhD as being something 'done in a bygone era' (again, at least at the RG unis). To note, there are some genuinely good academics in the UK who, despite completing PhDs - and having very fancy graduate degree combinations on their profile (e.g., Columbia LLM + Oxford DPhil, Oxford BCL and MPhil + Cambridge PhD in Law), and despite being awesome researchers and teachers, are still struggling on the bottom rung of the promotions ladder there. Also of note, I think you would find that many of those without a PhD who are from a previous generation have a very strong (i.e., academically the type that would suck the blood out of you, and reputationally very strong) master's degree, such as the BCL (as is the case with Shubhankar Dam) or strong work experience or both.
NLUO ZINDABAD
And try asking LLM peeps how is the Rangin teaching, you will consider yourself lucky.
Experience matters in teaching lineup bro there are subjects like constitution which can only be taught by experienced faculty. Our consti faculty was teaching first time in her career. Bring back Rangeen.
Asli id se aao Rata of NLUO
If they were bad, did you talk to Dean about them?
And how many classes did you attend after completing the reading material provided? You guys just come and start blaming teachers out of nowhere.
I'd like to see if I can be of help. Presently working as an SA at a T1.

Intern again at the same place
Build good connections, even if you don't get placed they might consider you for lateral hiring.
Work your ass off. Don't be foolish and leave office before 8 PM. Even if they keep you for getting print outs, stay at the office.
All the Best!
Clarus and JSA have decent command. T1s look for energy sometimes. There's no much competition in energy
1. Did pro-BJP VC Ishwar Bhatt do anything useful for the college?
2. How come the sexual harassment allegations are being raised only after a certain issue involving UGC funds? And how come the SJA itself is no longer united?
I will just leave it there.
Granted that many in the faculty are his acolytes or products of IoUs but they are from better known NLUs. And the you are also doing injustice to your location!
We'll be appearing for interviews and group discussions starting this week. Would love if anyone can share advice regarding how to ace interviews, imp GD topics, typical and non-typical questions that one must prepare.
Further, some advice specifically for GC would be great.

More than nine months after her 18-year-old brother was lynched and her mother disrobed and thrashed allegedly by those threatening her to withdraw the sexual harassment case, the woman has died under suspicious circumstances and her uncle has been murdered.

1) the comp this year was invite based only - not even a single chance for other universities to maybe 'try' at least no selective process or an interview based selection, nothing they just decided on their own that only specific students from specific university 'deserve' the chance to be represented rest of you can keep dreaming.
2) i understand that their ties with such big firms are their own and their students should get the benefit of that (agreed, valid) but this is not a job interview it is merely a competition based on hypothetical scenario that gives others a chance to network with some of the important people in int legal area. What the actual shit are you scared of? Non-Nlus getting a chance, actually showing they might be better than you because they have to work double hard to get anything you just get on a plate?
3) I think it's very unfair coming from such an high institution that they choose to arbitrarily decide whatever the hell they want to do? Inviting foreign Universities??? Good for repo but do they really need this ? They have enough advantage over all of us that they can easily get a job in magic circles. No but really, what's the point? International recruiters know the international crowd, you invite them to India only to show a handful of Indian students who will just go and get stoned after the ending of the comp. Is this the 19th century?
I'm not asking for much just a valid chance to have experience such as these yes ik some random ass NLU kid will write 'cope' because again they don't realise what personal hell non-nlu kids have to go through. This unfair and arbitrary behaviour is consistently increasing from day to day by every NLU is kinda alarming. No fair chances, What is next? We have to bear our swords and actually duel over getting basic chances such as these???
