I would suggest you must continue with engineering as it is the most in demand industry. Working with any product based company gives many perks which a T1 law firm might not give. Also T1 is difficult to get into.
In a nutshell, it is difficult to assess merit in law than in engineering. You might be the topper of the batch or have excellent mooting or debating skills, but HR for no reason can reject your candidature.
You will be surprised to know that law students have to intern a lot and even getting a T1 internship is a matter of celebration. But that's not in tech, you internships are not mandatory and if it's there are paid. On the other hand mostly law internships are unpaid.
All of this happened to my friend who is from a T1 NLU. The chap is placed with another firm, but I doubt that the HR or the firm's attitude has changed much.
Don't count on their word as it doesn't mean anything. Keep a backup option lest you end up in the same situation.
Highly unprofessional firm when it comes to rolling out PPOs. No set timelines or policies.
P.S: The aforementioned approach is exactly how they dealt my friend who is from a Tier 1 NLU. Nothing wrong with the chap and he's placed with another firm. But it does tell you how Saraf which claims to be all about fairness and equity (no pun intended lol) is actaully
I interned with them in Jan 2023.
Rajiv's team: Ishaan, Tejasv, Anshuman, Agni, and Uddeshya. All of them are sweet desi mundde.
They have great work and offer unparalleled exposure. All of them are buddies and they complete work way before deadline.
FEMA, IPC, NA Act, PMLA etc.
If I hadn't been looking for career in competition, I'd have joined their team no doubt. Still in good relations with some of them.
Work culture, salary and overall inputs maybe? (specifically asking from the perspective of an A1/ A2)
Thanks!
Believe you why? youve gone and spoken to a lot of working class americans? have you spoken to ten? How do you make sense of the fact that black working class americans want stricter laws on immigration? Is it all about race? or could it be that uneducated illegal immigrants are allowed into the country by parties controlled by billionaires who want to import a slave caste that wont unionise, wont receive social security, and they want to do that instead of paying working class americans, black, white, hispanic, whatever,a higher minimum wage and health care and social security? Could it be about class?
for most working class people- they like asian/indian doctors and scientists and techies and they want to keep highly skilled people because those guys contribute to the economy and pay taxes. they figure- as long as these people are getting educated in our best institutions- why shouldnt they stay and contribute to our economy.
I dont know man- if I were a working class american, id probably believe the same things.
Why imagine people who disagree with you are racist without evidence? it could be that theyre making rational decisions for themselves.
Dusra kaon?
You will not get a PPO, they only hire post a 6-month paralegal position upon graduation if you cannot intern during the year, Keep that in mind but it is a better work culture than most Tier 1's but the pay disparity makes it on par to other Tier 2's.
Please do also tell us if her intervention brought Justice.
