That being said, from my observation of the upvotes and downvotes patterns and comments on Legally India, it also seems to me that Legally India's users are mostly from these old NLUs. Yeah, the same guys, who do not get internships at SRL. Hence, you see a lot of hatred for SRL on Legally India.
Let me give you another example - you may find that a lot of comments on Legally India praising S&R Associates. A majority of the lawyers at S&R are from the old NLUs. Since most of the users on Legally India are from these old NLUs, you see a lot of good comments about S&R.
I would suggest you explore the CS Executive 7 Subjects. Just explore it. It will give you a good taste of whether you are suited for corporate or commercial law areas such as tax laws, compliance, economic laws, labor laws, and other laws governing the corporates in our country. And if you happen to like it then you go for the entire CS course as CS with a LLB will be a great combo for a Corporate law-related career. You can later on even do corporate litigation in various tribunals such as NCLTs, NCLAT, ITAT, CESTAT, GST Tribunal, etc.
"Dhero MR se kamane" se pehle it takes a good 10-12+ years of extremely gruelling life to get to that stage.
Also, not even gonna compare NEET and CLAT. I hope you are informed enough to know that there is a huge difference. Almost 15 lakh people write NEET, it doesn't even touch 1 lakh for CLAT.

I come from a lower middle class family. Money matters to me a lot. This is the best comment I've ever read on this forum. Gave me a lot of hope and encouragement. Thanks again!
The students really need to get Chandrachud to act.

SCARY STUFF, fascism is here and now. Why wait for counting day.
Had been losing a lot these past few months in big IT stocks, plus mid and smallcap stocks in clean energy and tourism. They’ve all jumped up heavily today and should move from red to green soon 😁😁😁
Curious how everyone else’s stocks are doing? Are y’all selling or staying invested? The one worry I have is that exit polls are not the real results and it may be risky assuming that they will come true. Yes, all exit polls are predicting 350+ but many of these are brand new agencies no one has heard of. Only Axis, CVoter and Chanakya are well known. Axis and Chanakya got 2019 right, but Axis was proven wrong in the 2021 Bengal election.
Also curious what the gossip is in law firm circles? I’m yet to reach office, but the word in my T1 firm is very bullish (340 to BJP and 390 to NDA). We have clients in infra who expect a push. However, another T1 is bearish (300 to BJP and 310 to NDA).

- 3 petitions are being discussed in the coming week.
- Possible petition 1: If Congress gets less than 10% seats, Rahul Gandhi should still be given Leader of Opposition status. The so-called Malavankar rule is meant to be a non-binding guideline and is not the written law of the land. In 2014, the SC rejected such a petition, but the SC needs to look at it afresh.
- Possible petition 2: Permanent shift to paper ballots in 2029 (this may not be filed if the public mood suggests that the Congress is being a bad loser)
- Possible petition 3: Many Muslims in South India could not vote because they work as migrant labourers in the Gulf. Many Muslims in Bengal could not vote because they work as migrant labourers in South India. This lowered turnouts of pro-Congress voters in crucial seats in Bengal and South India. Thus, in 2029, all migrant labourers should be given postal ballot voting facilities.
Meanwhile, the Bengal units of the Congress and CPIM are super pissed off with Mamata Banerjee and have complained to Sonia Gandhi and Sitaram Yechury. Not only did Mamata split the anti-BJP vote in crucial seats, but her goons mercilessly attacked Congress and CPIM workers. There is a genuine fear that Adhir Chowdhury may lose his seat for these reasons. Mamata may now become "persona non grata" for the INDIA Alliance -- which basically means that the Congress and Left will keep silent if the ED/CBI go after her nephew. Mamata anyway did not attend yesterday's opposition meeting in Delhi and did not even bother to send a representative, which has demoralised the INDIA Alliance.
Just sharing what I heard....
Good for you if you get through. All the best.
All the talks on free speach, dictatorship and what not, and this is what this website stands for.
Mods, have some integrity and publish this comment, otherwise you're no different than OpIndia.
I know A0s got 14.5L base but that was in 2022? Have their been no increments?
Dont listen to some fools here
How’s the work been at your firms with SWAMIH. Basically all you’ve got to say about the fund
Somehow, a lot of lawyers from the NE states tend to go into either civil or judicial services in their careers. There are a few in law firms but not too many.
Think.
Anyone?
Half of GLC and PGCL do their first internship here
Work is fine - as an intern, I normalised not receiving any context for the work I was assigned, repeated walks to the associates' desks only for them to give me information in bits and parts, and pointless hours spent at the Tribunals/Courts with no substantive value addition. Matters that I came to know of (in quality) were nothing special, and DR teams of Trilegal and Khaitan seemed to be taking the bigger portion of the pie (checked the representatives of parties in the cause lists)
Final note - Thank you once again, kind junior associates ▮▮▮
Even if there was one even touching half of it would be achievement.
