We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

There is absolutely no need for a lawyer to learn how to code and sorry but there won't be any converging opportunities in future.
Do you know that knowing how to code doesn't make you a coder in the true sense? It doesn't matter what you learn as a vocation (maybe assumed necessity), but the market demands people who are good at what they need to. I will always been needed as a lawyer and not a coder, doesn't matter how good I get at it. Similarly, an expert at Python working in tech will never be demanded in the legal profession, even if he gets a law degree.
P.S.: I am pretty good at coding.
As I have said previously, NFSU does not need or want validation on this platform. NFSU is far too big for that. Remember my India-Pakistan analogy. Asking about NFSU on this platform is like asking Pakistan about India. It does not take a genius to know what kind of responses one would get. Abhi toh party shuru hui hai. Big announcements and developments in NFSU will keep coming in and I will continue to share as appropriate.
Write something relevant and nobody gives a fuck
Itβs because Sidharth Chauhan is beloved. Heβs incredibly fair minded and heβs very good at getting students to do their best and heβs mentored so so many people. He builds institutions. I donβt know how else to say it - heβs beloved. The students who worked with him / took his classes at both institutions will know what Iβm talking about - itβs impossible to sit in those rooms with him and not have affection for him. Itβs not personal charisma either- itβs that heβs stuck around and done his best and brought his best self to work every day for more than ten years now.
Nalsar was far better off with him than they were without him. I think itβs about the only really good thing Mustafa did - to hire chauhan. Without him - I really worry for the students , the place is gonna sink considerably now.
I was in nalsar before and after chauhan came- my goodness it felt like he was saving us from ourselves. I was about to quit law school and I stayed because of him.
I canβt quite explain it- but Iβll use a metaphor Chauhan taught me. There are friendships of pleasure and utility, and then thereβs friendships of the truest kind- friendships of virtue. Thatβs when people like you for your character and you make each other become better people.
So with professors - there are professors you will enjoy for a short time and they wonβt have impact on you and vice versa , and there are professors who you will see as valuable only in what they can do for you- and they will see you as valuable only in what you can do for them. And then thereβs chauhan who will like you for your character and give you the best advice without assuming he can tell you what to do or expecting that you will listen to him , he will show you how to be your best self and how to invest in the project of self improvement, and whether itβs in firms, in litigation , in academia or even in a non law career - he will be glad to know that youβve done well because he cares about you doing well. Itβs a rare thing.
My brother in Christ. Even RML, RGNUL, HNLU and NLUO with several years of being "on rise" couldn't touch NLIU. All of the above-mentioned colleges place 50x more than DNLU.
Jabalpur has a HC, so has many cities. There is no point going to a college which has no structure. I've had friends in both the graduating batches, the batch of 2023' is still struggling to find foot and batch of 24' placed 2-3 people and rest are either placed in places that you'd only work because of circumstances or aren't anywhere close to workplace.
DNLU hasn't won anything major, their faculties are hot and miss, and location is actually a disadvantage. There is no way someone would leave Nirmal or NMIMS for DNLU.
Also the fees is at par with private colleges. Not every NLU is actually a NLU
I understand that due to the Principle seat of the HC being at Allahabad, it makes more sense to open an office there, but recently a PIL was filed by the Oudh Bar Association to fix the issue of jurisdiction, let's hope that many more law firms open their offices in Lucknow after the verdict.

B'24 GLC here and I would recommend it over pgcl because if you ever have a chance at a PPO anywhere, you will not be rejected only because of your college. GLC is not an nlu but it is respected enough to know it is not a deal breaker. Many kids from Nirma, upes, jccl, new law college etc are rejected outright for internships etc or even if they are not rejected the college is always a con in their cv. GLC tends to have a neutral effect. It is will not get you in neither will it keep you out of t1s.
it is a lifetime experience.. don't miss it for anything
But last I heard he got his degree from NALSAR only. This was back in 2014-15
Apparently, the interviews were conducted in Taj Delhi.
Can some jindal kid confirm this?
Mamta has an easy way out - ask BC commission to submit a report, and then use that report to make a retrospective law validating the earlier certificates. Everyone is protected.
This is different from a Muslim quota case which is pending at the SC (I think from AP).
No single student in your batch 2022-27 BComLLB Hons was given admission without qualifying LSAT-India Test and the cutoff determined by Admissions Committee.
Bar Council of India approves seats for law school. No Vice Chancellor can get on his own.
If you are still in confusion, just walk into the new Admissions Office T1 Ground floor and check the full class LSAT score and admission status. Meet Aditya Anand incharge of 5 year law programme admissions.
Don't spread falsehood about your own institution. This misguides prospective students and parents.
Also do they have any other perks like laptops or anything else?
Honourable mention: Adya Niraj. NLU Ranchi-IIMA-Miss India finalist-Kearney.
IMO they are more deserving of coverage than Vasuki Punj or Shivangi Desai. Vasuki Punj is just managing Mickey Punjβs business while Shivangi hasnβt won Miss India. She is just a contestant.
