1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.

2. It depends on law school to law school as to how much focus is given on legal theory. NLS gives a good focus whereas some law schools don't.

How I miss the time when this country was ruled by intellectuals like Ramesh.

Looking for the salaries of freshers (straight out of law school) working in the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court. Kindly let me know!
I'm not very sure, but I was the only one interviewed for the position up untill the second round at least.
2. Recent talks given to future trainees (those offered a training contract who haven't yet completed the SQE) have hinted that there might be more chances for secondments in the US and more US deal-flows. In other words, the quality of professional development that trainees will be undergoing if this materialises is enhanced; the exposure levels for associates will also be going up.
3. Purely a hypothesis, as someone who is interested in the UK law school foreign university collaboration landscape (anyone who thinks otherwise, please explain why, will be interested to hear). They might increasingly value those who have knowledge of both the law of England and Wales and the United States, like those with LLB - JD qualifications - i.e., law students who have a UK LLB with an American JD added on (e.g., graduates of the KCL/Georgetown or LSE/Columbia LLB - JD programmes). This would be if they needed greater expert knowledge on US matters in London.
Is there a major difference in the salary between the two?
How can a new person learn this?
DHC ka sahi hai essentially there is 1 cause list broken up into advance and suppli.
SC faltu mein itna complicate karke rakha hai.
if it is below 65% its unlikely that LSE or UCL is going to consider you
if it is more than 60% but less than 65% KCL may consider you (I am assuming you are from one of the NLUs)
if your score is between 55%-60% you can get into QMUL, Manchester, Birmingham etc.
BTW you did not discuss why you want to do LLM directly after LLB? may i ask the reasons
1. Good publications, including in Scopus-listed journals like EPW and JIPR.
2. I was from a tier 1 NLU
3. I totally scammed the system. I took easy human rights electives and scored top grades in them. This bumped up my overall GPA from bottom 10 in class to lower-middle rank. In one of my reco letters, one of the professors kindly said that I topped her class (without mentioning that there were only 12 students in the class, all backbenchers like me looking to inflate their grades π€£)
4. I also tweaked my CV and SOP to make me look like a woke human rights guy. For example, I interned with a Senior Advocate on all types of cases, one of which was a pro bono matter on the environment. In my CV and SOP, I mentioned only environment law. I interned with a law firm's IP and tech team on all types of IP work, but I emphasised only one case involving drug patents and harped on access to medicines. I gave the impression in my SOP that I will return to India and become a human rights crusader (ended up doing the exact opposite: becoming an overpaid commercial lawyer advising corrupt corporations πͺ).
Now I have never worked in this industry at all and I am not even sure if I will get interest. Will I have decent opportunities after taking up this job or will I get limited to one particular area of practice.
What do you guys think, should I join or not?
What say??? I'm basing this on anecdotal evidence and hearsay.

Makes perfect sense, because last time Mamata gifted Singhvi an RS seat from West Bengal by supporting his candidature (as a Congress candidate), as Singhvi is defending the TMC in all the corruption cases. This time, Mamata refused to support him and he lost as an MP from another state. But if the AAP backs him he can still make it to the Rajya Sabha as a Congress candidate with AAP support. Smart!
This then explains everything that happened yesterday. π€
People will naturally criticise Modi for favouring Ahmedabad, but ask yourself this: what stopped the Gandhi dynasty from setting up a Varanasi-Lucknow-Delhi bullet train passing through Amethi or Rae Bareilly? At the end of the day, a PM biased towards one region but developing it well is better than a PM who doesn't do development anywhere and instead focuses on appeasing vote banks and taxing the middle class.
