We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:

(1) clueless as to what, of anything is to be done by them with respect to their career now;
and
(2) asking on Legally India, the queries as stated in the original post.
Open a small parchoon or tea shop if need something to keep you busy.
Saraf pays 16LPA to 18LPA.
Pat difference is huge. Especially in Mumbai, you need that extra money.
We all know how much hamas care about Palestianans when their masters sit in qatar and turkey while innocent palestiains are not even given human aid by them
These kids also show a complete lack of understanding of the historical roots of the Palestine problem.
it is difficult to prepare a research proposal and do your llm in the same year, so make contacts with the profs at the place where you do your llm and start discussing ideas, base your proposal on the disseration, and show the proposal to some of the indian origin academics who are in your area and ask for comments, there was alist made by some commentators
once you have the proposal ready, send it to all the unis which have pgr scholarships, most russells and plate glasses have half a dozen scholarships each which pay international fees + stipend
If I tweet a morphed clip of a minister that can cause a riot and claim that its not endorsement just a retweet you think you would be safe?
FML
They seem to have destroyed your common sense totally in your law school
This needs a greater dialogue and hopefully, a writ petition to force the University to publish the merit list which they do not publish for the 3 year LLB program. The lack of transparency is also visible in the way the Messiah operates in the internal matters as well.
If you meant 15L then probably Rebecca John, Kapil Sibal, Mahesh Jethmalani or Pinky Anand.
These would also cost you much less than 15L per appearance.
However, unfortunately, these people seem to be in a minority. In direct contrast to Prof Menonโs vision (who once even barred law firms from recruiting from NLSIU) most NLU grads are working in corporate law firms, advising unethical and corrupt companies. Those practising in courts are defending all sorts of criminals, from corrupt politicians to sexual harassers to those destroying forests and the environment. Not only that but some of them have completely discarded their ideals and are supporting right-wing elements. ๐ The same people who stood up for hawkers and slum dwellers as law students now make remarks saying that they should be evicted to โbeautifyโ our cities. The same people who protested against the CAA now repost Aatishi Marlenaโs xenophobic remarks blaming Rohingyas and Bangladeshis for Delhiโs civic problems. ๐ซค Compare their Facebook/X posts from now versus their student says. You will literally think that the profile belongs to two different people with diametrically opposite ideologies.
So why is this phenomenon happening?

As lawyers/social scientists, let's delve into:
a) the root of his issue with secularism;
b) why his views have gained traction in the previous two election cycles;
c) can the dominant counter-narrative against secularism, established by Modi, be overturned not only academically but also politically?
d) are the people and institutions challenging the aforementioned dominant counter-narrative (let's refer to them as the "opposition") approaching it correctly in this election season?
e) why did the opposition fail in the previous two election cycles?
f) what additional mitigation measures should the opposition immedilately adopt to avoid repeating past mistakes (which led to the electoral debacles of 2014 and 2019)?
g) Is the devil lurking in the details? Are there harsh truths in Modiโs remarks that he's exploiting, knowing his opponents lack the courage or capability to confront and address with meaningful policy?
Another route, possibly easier than a PhD, is an MBA.
There was even a recent incident where a person, who is not affiliated with NLS, was stabbed there.
Brawls and altercations are not uncommon in that area. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, we strongly against visiting Roti Park due to its unsafe environment.
Before attacking me. Read LLM reviews by American Students. They look down on them.
Just like how NLU students look down on LLM.
US LLM is more like a JGLS LLB. Money matters. More than anything else.
Even Harvard, Stanford is not as tough as it looks for LLM.
Do you have the money to pay up?
Yes - Admission granted
No - Get out.
Money is not easy money. I will give you an example. My batch mates went to harvard LLM.
Fees is (all inclusive)
Tutiton Fees - $90
Living Expenses - $30K
Flights (to and from India, within US for internships) and Miscellaneous - $20K
Totally it's around $140K
US dollar will always appreciate. So considering the current exchange and volatility.
You need 1.3 crore Indian Rupees for a Harvard LLM. Same applies to most US Universities.
Let's say you failed in law school. Even then you can get a top LLM. Just do a clerkship via connections in some High Court and request the judge for a recommendation.

3. If you are a person who is just a pure hard worker but cannot engage in office politics, you will suffer. I suffered coz being really good at my work i was dumped more and more of it, while my peers enjoyed the perks of better appraisals and bonuses by doing half the work. Their secret ingredient was usually cowering to seniors or worse, bad-mouthing their peers and juniors to the seniors. I saw it happen first hand many times.
4. You cannot be allowed to be a kind and sympathetic mentor. I was reprimanded again and again as being "weak" coz I was not ruthless to my juniors.

Also yeah on-point on the culture aspect. This place is just too orthodox even for Millennials like me but we still persisted coz earlier this place used to have a bigger brand. The Gen-Z and this place cannot grow together.
Moderator i know your concerns, but these are first hand accounts and not hearsay.
