However, be a bit careful. Family-run administration - so chances for getting sabotaged are high.

On one point, I do agree with Gopal: far too many people have designated themselves far earlier than warranted.
I’d add Gopal to that list.
When ever I apply to any firm for internship I get an automatic generated rejection email stating that there are no more vacancies in the firm. The firm is running at its full. But I usually apply before 8+ months.
So thinking very practically I don't guess that there might be all the seats for an intern position filled but it might be my ATS score which might be responsible for this act.
Are the hiring prospects really that bad?

How to navigate lateralling vis-a-vis the place you're working at?
Do you tell them you're leaving because you're are going to another firm?
Do you just say you're taking a break, want to shift to another city, etc? (lie)
(Can't see how this will work out in the long run because you're definitely burning bridges but at least you could get your exit secured).
Basically how to ensure good relations with your current firm and that it won't be vindictive/provide the necessary exit formalities.

The conclusion is uncomfortable but necessary. One should enter—and remain in—this profession only with the conviction that one has the temperament and ability to build a complete life within it. If marriage or children feel impossible because of the job, it is not the job that is slowly destroying you. It is the mismatch.
