Maybe not many of the super senior partners but considering the amount of gossip and conjecture that is shared here on a daily basis, even Partners (especially newer ones) might find it hard to stay away and avoid Legally.
1. I heard online that the 320 batch strength leads to a bunch of diffrerent professors teaching the same subject to students, and because of subjectivity of grading, it can lead to skewed batch rankings. Do you think tat would be a problem?
2. the campus is only 23 acres and honestly thats feels tiny, when you were on campus did you feel like it was cramped or small?
3. with the addition of the 3 year llb course, with circa 400 students sitting for placements when im in my 4/5th year, how would that change my chances of being placed at a t1 firm
4. They had trimesters back when you were studying there too, but im hearing that nobody has time for anything else on campus and people are literally failing subjects and being held back because of how hard it is, is that something i need to be concered about
And the what aboutism in this thread is nuts. Nls has drunk students nujs has drunk students Oxbridge has drunk students. Are you kidding me ? Do you know how hard those students are made to work ? How little time most of them have to become drunkards ? Most NLS Oxbridge students may have a drink socially but they arenโt spending hours everyday getting drunk. The university pushes rigor enough that they have to study or fail. And those universities arenโt facing the rates of deaths, crime, assault, accident that JGLS faces. Take some damn responsibility for yourselves before you berate grieving parents for that same sin.
You can make this argument if parents are made aware about the situation theyโre sending their children into. You cannot make it when the university works to actively deceive and hide problems on their campus.
Do I think thereโs a parenting problem with most of these kids ? Yes I do. I donโt think their parents are being watchful enough and I think their parents try to get them out of trouble rather than teach them consequences of actions too much. But that does not mean parents are working with perfect information here. The day Jgls tells parents the truth about their institution - thatโs the day you can blame parents for making bad choices.
This woman is in pain and I feel for her. Losing a child is the most painful thing imaginable. But instead of coping with that pain and loss in a healthy way, she is attacking her daughter's friend. It sounds like he is irresponsible yes, but he needs counselling not prison. Can you imagine going through your life knowing you killed two of your friends? How many people here have been drunk and how many more have done things they shouldn't have while drunk? Did anyone imagine it would go so far?
I don't know the specifics but ideally they should be grieving the deaths together and helping this young man with his problems together. This anger and lashing out is going to do nothing for a scared, grieving student body that is turning to substance abuse because the adults are failing it. They need counselling and care not accusations. Good luck trying to run a law school like a prison. Oxbridge is full of drunken students. Most turn out just fine and some do not and do have catastrophic tragedies like this one. That is human behaviour and young people in universities. Stop trying to attack them for being human. It has nothing to do with their studies or future.
Gave CLAT this year and got a shitty rank (32XX). I wonโt blame the consortium at all. It was me who messed it up.
Keeping that aside, Iโve researched myself down to this deep rabbit hole about Indian law education. There are no good private collages apparently? Jindal and Symbiosis are too expensive. GLC and ILS are gatekept by Marathis. NMIMS and Nirma are death sentences, if I go by their studentsโ accounts. Christ is just a catholic jail.
Then whatโs the point even? I donโt even have any law-godfathers. I just wanted to get into the profession because I loved debating and had an argumentative personality. Was it my naivety? I just wanted a stable career which would feed me and wonโt eat up my soul. Is that too much to ask for?
I donโt know what to do anymore. Not sure where to go next. If any of you could give me any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. I donโt have anyone to guide me.
Seriously, just be tenacious (unlike the SJA) in getting those papers, connect the dots and just follow the trail. You will be surprised how far and wide it goes.

Sure GOP and others abused power and made CBI etc toothless etc. What stupendous leaps have these sterling agencies taken since 2014?
Just consider the record in Bengal. Zilch with Ponzi scam cases. RG Kar buried. Sandeshkhali and many other cases saw prime PWs getting offed. All that CBI and Co could was whine as if they have an inherent right to get a free pass.
Dig deep and join the dots.
nujs vc changed so thats a plus point but if u are a girl hostels will be a problem
nluj seats increased last year and lmty it is getting crowded, but otherwise college is nice but no college life because it is hectic but gnlu on other hand will become boring over time and some peopel do like or prefer the pressure that nluj has , hostels will be a problem here as well because 5th year 100 students will go and 196 will come so think for yourself
baki top 3 ki chul hai toh nujs jao varna nluj , gnlu idts should even be a question

If any seniors have any tips or anything to keep in mind while calculating stamp duty, please help a junior out. I want to learn from here and from my mistakes so that I donโt repeat it.
I checked last year's merit lists and saw that the rank cutoff for BSc LLB was 2015.
But I really can't rest easy; so please, can anyone in the fraternity let me know about my chances?
I'm sorry if I come off as entitled, I'm trying to cling onto hope whatever I have.
Thank you!
