Everyone is missing a very important point. This app has been banned for five years now. The teens who were using the app are now in adulthood and many are in jobs. Do you think a CAM associate will have the same mental immaturity he or she had at the age of 18 or 20? They are past the phase of making posts on Palestine or simping for Taylor Swift. They have clients, work and tax returns to worry about.

Meanwhile, those now in their teens have hardly ever used TikTok because of the ban. They are Instagram and YouTube users.

First few months/ probably years will be tough because you are suddenly doing something which you have never done before and you will feel lost. But give it time. When you learn the work, it becomes easy. Also, acceptance in mind will bring you peace. If you crib, the more you will feel like moving away.

I have a very different experience. I am A3 from Cuffe Parade and my partner and PAs are from tier 2 cities. They keep asking me why I am working etc and how I have it all easy. This comes up during appraisals too! My partner keeps discussing how Mumbai sobo kids don’t work hard even though I work 14-16 hours even on weekends and have never missed my deadlines or targets. The TLCs in Bangalore suck ass because of only one major reason that being their affiliation to KSLU, the curriculum sucks ass. They don’t have a proper academic Calendar and even if they have one it’s never followed. The professors don’t give marks. This mofo oldie in my college at my college costed me one whole grade because he didn’t give me marks in the clinical courses, all because I was interning at firms and not sucking him off like others

An honest review (2025): I am a final-year student here (Law School). Academics are decent, but the vaguely structured syllabus and frequently surprising questions will always keep you on your toes. The fee is also unreasonably high. They recently implemented a new attendance policy: now you need to maintain 80 percent attendance right from the first week of the semester. The policy requires you to maintain 80% attendance not only in the semester but also every week, and if you don’t have the required attendance, they compel you to bring your parents for a meeting with the authorities. Parents also have to sign an undertaking that they are aware their child doesn’t have the required attendance and if he/she doesn't have 80% attendance before final exams he/, she will be debard for 1 year from college. Surprisingly, they themselves fail to provide the attendance reports on time, and their student portal which is specifically designed to provide daily attendance updates along with other facilities, is always showing errors in attendance.

If you are taking admission, then you must be fan of Dungeons and Dragons. Talking about placements, Mumbai has decent placements, but other campuses are not that great. Students are figuring it out on their own, and law placements are the worst except in Mumbai. NMIMS could be a good choice for some reasons, like a lavish campus and modern classrooms, but I don’t think it is a good place for personal growth.

But if you are a parent reading this, then you have got everything covered here at NMIMS. You will get called for PTMs and even receive daily college check-in and checkout timings on your phone, so you can catch your child red-handed when they bunk college. And for students who are taking admission: when you feel they cannot do worse, just wait for your next semester for a big surprise. The first thing NMIMS requires you to do is deposit the fee, then make you sign an anti-ragging undertaking because the University itself is more than enough to take ragging for all the students. (Everything said above is my personal opinion, you are free to give it a try)

How many times did you fail CLAT and how many times did your parents squander the chances to make something of their lives by failing JEE and every other exam society threw at them? Only asking out of curiosity, as such bitterness is usually the result of extreme misfortune in family circumstances. Or what was it? Was one (or both) of your parents a gambling addict?

Therefore, after careful consideration, the University has decided to suspend all classes for one week. Classes will resume on Monday, 25 August 2025. This decision was taken after comprehensive consultations with key stakeholders of the University. The Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and senior leadership team held detailed discussions with the Presidents of the Student Councils of all Schools of JGU, who unanimously agreed that this was the most appropriate step under the present circumstances. The Vice Chancellor also consulted the Deans of all Schools/ Institute, and they too extended their full support to this decision.

Students who have travelled home for the long weekend may choose to remain at home and return for classes next week, or they may return to campus earlier if they wish. Similarly, any student who is on campus and would like to go home during this week is free to do so as the choice rests entirely with the students. Please note that during this period the University will remain fully open. All facilities, including the Academic Block, will continue to be accessible to students.

Great place to be. I don’t agree people micro manage. They let you be and give freedom to do. If you commit mistakes, they’ll help you overcome it. Don’t get rebuked or shamed. Senior partners don’t take all limelight. They let juniors partners and SAs shine. I have had few interactions VJ - while she manages stuff and critical matters she won’t through her weight around. Very grounded. Firm has both debt and equity - some very fancy deals and top notice strategy work in Corp. I have seen SAs literally getting the space to do what they like.

I am an assistant professor of a private university in Kolkata. I am very deeply dissatisfied with the current academic culture of law industry. Faculties who are hired are not only unfit to teach but also lacking in industrial knowledge to actually teach law. Students are given written assignments, tests which are all copied from chatgpt. No real learning is being done. Law is becoming diluted with other social sciences. Even during BCI and NAAC inspections all documents are faked.

Apply everywhere lol.

ALL firms take in applicants on the basis of merit as well as through referrals.

Don't discount a particular firm or tie your hopes to a particular firm on the basis of "what you've heard" please.

Apply to all and don't expect much.

one cant really count on anyone to act. Your best best is to send complaints to a large number of authorities and hope that someone in the system decides to act. The BCI, state Bar Council, Education Department of the Government , Governor, Chief Justice of the High Court - I mean anyone whom you can remotely think of. thats pretty much your best bet.

Now usually anonymous complaints are not entertained by the system. but then I would advise you not to reveal your identity - we live in a third world, tin-pot republic with no accountability in any form. So, if you reveal your identity, chances are that you will experience a rebuke.

so when sending the complaint, try and attach some evidence in support of your claims. something concrete enough for someone who is willing to take action to act.

The other option is to look for someone influential or a union who can take up your complaint. Usually it's the student unions who do these things . But I suppose in a private university they are all kept out so that the studious environment is not damaged. You can try your luck getting in touch with NSUI or SFI. They may do something if they feel like. ABVP I am not sure - my experience with them has been that they are interested only in pursuing hindutva related stuff. But I guess there is no harm in asking.

I am a budding entrepreneur and that's something I'd definitely love to do successfully atleast once in my life but in order to do so I'll have to try multiple things over a period of time and see what sticks and what makes sense in the market in this everchanging world. I have tons of ideas and would love to execute on them over the weekends and over the years while I'm still in college. I am currently in law school and wanting to go into corporate law.
