My friend(lady) is blackmailed by 3 boys by 5 lakhs amount , my friend was divorcee , alse she has some financial issue with her family ,so she was mentally stresses and started alcohol party , with some lady and boy together . She was shocked and giving blame to own , she took 5 lakhs from someones as a lent . And gave this amount to blackmailer . She has a job in school and getting salary 5000 rs per month . She has no other source of income . Now lender giving force to her to return this huge amount ,

She not want to go in police station , because she feel guilty and may be this news may be leaked , and her carrear going to finish , and she can not handle this situation . Few days ago she faced bleeding from his nose due to high blood pressure.

Our full sympathy should be with the students and we should support them in getting internships and jobs. But such a dubious way of running law program must be criticised rather closed.

The major question with cracking down is this: in India, is there any cultural/demographic factor that could lead to disproportionate stigmatisation/negative focus on, and discrimination against, one particular demographic or other group if enforcement were to be ramped up? For example, in the U.S., the war on drugs has negatively impacted black communities to a significant extent.

I sincerely hope that this is a joke. Even if so, it's a really bad one, made, probably, by a law firm partner who knows nothing about either what the demands of higher law degrees are like, or what having them actually means, and whose intellectual curiosity and sense of imagination has been totally suppressed through so-called "practical" grind in the dull world of commercial law for years on end. No wonder Lord Sumption, the former judge on the UK Supreme Court and an Oxford historian-turned-lawyer, warned against taking a law degree as your first university qualification if you want to practice law. Reading this comment with the assumption that it's a joke (or even without it) helps me appreciate why his warning against reading for a degree in law, a profession which you'll then be stuck in until age 65, makes sense.

I'm a 25 year old Associate (A2 level) at a top Law Firm earning about 16 Lakhs per annum. I had very little exposure to Corp law in my last law firm which is why I quit. I got my current job on the basis of a contact. It's been several months since I joined but I'm barely getting any work. Others have work but I don't. To be honest, even when I ask seniors for feedback or why I'm getting less work nobody criticises me or says it has anything to do with my work. I feel hard done by because I feel people at this firm haven't even given me enough opportunities to show myself. For my experience I have very limited exposure.

I am from the 2027 batch at a Tier-2 NLU, have completed 3–4 solid internships, and while I am academically average, I have done well in debates and moots at both national and international levels. I would appreciate any advice on how to make my CV stand out in the projects and infrastructure field. I have a strong understanding of the projects field, but apart from my internships, I don’t have anything on my CV that reflects this knowledge. He wrote a letter to the magazine blasting them and demanding an apology.

They seem to be rebuilding from scratch for the long term. They are not replacing mid and senior level people who have left, and are either bumping up juniors in the team or involving leaders from an adjacent practice to fill the void. Not sure how much you can expect to learn when there is limited guidance from people with on-ground experience in that practice.
