Work hours are similar to a T1.
Chennai firms are not valued as much as a firm's main stream city office when u want to lateral to another city because if you stay in Chennai for too long you will never make as much as your peers.
Azb Chennai is essentially vietnam servicing firm and does almost no real India work which is something to note.
I also hope you haven't been sleeping under a rock and aren't think that UK law schools can be counted as "EU colleges". If you have, then there is little that can be done to help you.

Due to the lower pay, teams make money by doing more work and handling more opinions, etc, so you end up having to do more work than people who already have a bad work-life balance, so imagine working 80 hours a week, which can hit about 12 hours daily, including Sundays.
It just leads to major burnout because more work, less pay than your peers plus after all this it would be easy if your partner understood when you needed a bit of time for personal matters or help you learn or treat you respectfully which also does not happen, its not as simple as partner being bad, it's more the boring work, less pay, more hours plus the not so ideal treatment from your bosses and the mid level team not just purely the partner.
