Coming back to NLUJ - βΉ60L is only the fee component. You still have to add hostel, mess, ancillary, personal expenses, and inflation for the entire 5 years. The total outflow for you would be around βΉ70L conservatively. So tread carefully.
The news is not surprising at all, tbh.
1) The academic block is closed post 7 pm (apart from there are no spaces in the university for committees to convene meetings or for students to prepare for moots)
2) "Tutorial classes" have been introduced to cover up for the mess in attendance
3) The examination policy is changed where the written exam will only consist of a 60 mark end sem paper, 15 marks for "attendance", 25 marks for project and viva, leaving a major portion of evaluation to the dicreation of professors.
4) Classes have been extended from 9 A.M to 8 P.M with no breaks in between. The hostel out timing is 8.30 P.M effectively leaving 30 minutes for any outside work a student has.
5) All shops on campus have been closed down including 2 shops in boys hostel, 1 shop in girls hostel and the laundry service.
6) The academic calender is pushed from semester ending on 1 May to ending on 6 May and from 1 Novemeber to 11 November for even and odd sems respectively. This has disturbed internship schedules of the students, many of whom have already got an internship from May 1.
7) No date has been announced for conducting exams left the previous semester.
8) The VC of the university has refused to meet with the student body for discussions on the pretext of technicality.
Reflect on your actions before it's too late.
Can you explain what you mean by he's associated with the chambers of SL?

This also means that Sullu from NUJS loses out again. Is anyone keeping a count on his losses?
By the way, is it true that SKY was in the search committee?
I donβt have any problem with people doing whatever they want to whoever will have them behind closed doors. But that same logic extends to businesses. Maybe they donβt want to be involved in prostitution rackets, maybe they have some moral beliefs they want to express - thatβs completely fair. They should be able to do that. Itβs a free country.
Pyaar gunah hain is a nice turn of phrase, but it is a lie. No one is being sent to jail for being in an unmarried relationship. Itβs not a crime. What is happening is that a business is deciding to act in accordance with the morality of the community that it serves. You have different morality ? Start your own business, if other people feel like you maybe your hotels will be more popular and OYO will drop this matter eventually. The same freedom that gives them the right to deny service gives you the right to start your own business and provide service.
Then start reading NDI rules, FDI policy, reporting regulations, RBI master direction and circular on FDI - for equity and related instruments transactions
To start with debt - read debt regulations, ECB directions, RBI master direction and circulars.
Other transactions which requires study of special regulations:
Import and export of services and goods - separate regulations are there for both + master directions
Overseas direct investment - ODI regime (rules, regulations and guidelines issued in 2022)
Practical tip: Get in touch with AD bankers for understanding above regulations, rules, etc. more practically. Assuming your firm would have data base for all ADs.
Follow above, you will be sorted for FEMA.
Do you have any suggestions since the time you posted this?
Because I am in a similar position but a year junior.
Please lemme know!

I'm puzzled by this because everything went smoothly during the interview. I have a decent CGPA and batch rank, coupled with a near perfect interview.
Can you guys help me figure out some of the reasons I didn't make it and what can I do now?
Oh and also, it is "Americans", not the word you used. Moderators, have you ever considered that this website might just get non-Indian visitors sometimes? You have redacting tools at your disposal, what are you doing? Sleeping and letting this auto-publish? And additionally, I thought the r word used at the start of this comment was one we agreed is out of bounds to use? We love being PC until it involves disabled people or people with mental health issues, is it?
Those in NLIU were shocked to receive the news that their beloved paratha man, a man who has held more responsibilities than the Moot Court Association and the PCC combined over the years has been un-alived under mysterious circumstances recently. Any update on whether its wildlife or was he m/dered ? Has the body been found?
