By the way, when was the document last clicked on, who opened it last, etc is all traceable. We once had an A0 doing this in some other team, and the team came to know of this but never told him. Whenever we partners sit together we do have a small laugh at that. He wasn’t transporting files outside, but he was just the curious type, wanting to know who’s working on what, what partner has what matters, etc. He’s still at the firm and I don’t think he has any clue we all know, probably does since he himself must be knowing by now how the software works and the system operates.
Long story short: Don’t do it, us partners know a 1000 things which the associates think we don’t, we just choose to ignore them and let them be.

1. Non-Muslims face widespread and systematic persecution in these countries. This is an indisputable fact that can be proved with tons of evidence.
2. Muslims who face persecution in the above countries usually do so not by virtue of their religious belief but by virtue of their political beliefs, eg Baluchis in Pakistan, Northern Alliance supporters in Afghanistan etc. They can still apply for Indian citizenship, but will be given second preference in the waiting list. The reason is simple: they can apply to dozens of other Islamic countries, but there are only two Hindu-majority countries in the world: India and Nepal.
3. The CAA doesn’t mean that Muslims will be turned away at the border, as long as they apply for refuge in the proper way. Many Muslim Afghan refugees live in India because they applied through the proper channel. In contrast, Rohingyas and Bangladeshis who have illegally settled here have being deported.
5. Remember also that India is not a signatory to the UN Refugee Convention. The Congress took this decision, not Modi. And despite that we have given refuge to many people, such as Tibetans.
This is all the CAA does and it’s 100% logical. Look at the West: they are taking so many Ukrainian refugees at the expense of Palestinians.They also deport many Muslim migrants who did not apply legally for asylum. Why don’t you all condemn them for that? Everyone is a saint and only Modi is a devil, is it?

The change and shake up of the Indian legal market is coming. All these star partners in family firms will leave. CAM has anticipated that and he is a mad rush to add partners, they are going the way of many other firms, grow in size and hope that size will save them from the big law firms.
Be a little more discerning and ask what is more important, the firm, the partner, or both and if yes to what degree. Since you will work more with the partner and the team, this should have greater weightage. The Firm is just a brand.
What should I do? Should I change to another firm? At my level, the consultants are constantly calling me and asking, advising me to move. Those guys, obviously have their self interest, so friends I want you to please help me. Should I continue here and then move out with the team.
It has come to the attention of the competent authority at TNNLU that written permission has not been obtained from the Commissioner of Police, Tiruchirappalli, for the student rally planned for tomorrow evening at the District Court organized in response to the tragic case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. It was informed by the organising committee that only an oral permission appears to be available. Any activity causing public nuisance during peak traffic hours without proper authorization may result in legal consequences, including potential arrest.
Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor has denied permission for this event, considering that the matter is currently under the cognizance of the Supreme Court, rendering such rallies redundant.
Students are, therefore, advised to ensure that any decision to participate in this event is well informed.

Senior Mgr Legal (I am SM) ranges between 13-18LPA
I am at 16+ but some are at 13. Pay disparity for people who have been here longer they get LESS.
AVP is whatever ur SM salary is + 1-2LPA
Besides this, theres yearly bonus ranging from 50k (everyone gets it) to 2Lacs (depending performance)
Also, after getting permanent, you get RSUs which also make a pretty 50k around per year. (Some top performers also get ESOPS which are in multiple lacs btw, but i guess that has stopped now. Needs to be confirmed. )
Also, work life balance is amazing. 6pm chhuti, 5 days working (Delhi Corp office, which is not in moti nagar but south delhi)
