Pathology chain Metropolis Healthcare’s initial public offering (IPO) has seen major investor interest, raising Rs 1,204 crore, reported Mint and others.

It is one of the few IPOs this year, in what has been a muted time for IPOs in the Indian capital markets.

Khaitan & Co acted for the issuer, Metropolis Healthcare Limited, led by partner Abhimanyu Bhattacharya, partner Aditya George Cheriyan, principal associate Oishik Bagchi, and associates Aparna Bagree and Devarshi Mukhopadhyay.

AZB & Partners acted for the book running lead managers, Kotak, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Jm Financial And Hdfc, led by partner Varoon Chandra, partner Lionel D Almeida, and associates Avanti Kale, Aditi Verma and Tripti Pandey.

Sidley Austin was international counsel to the book running lead managers, led by partner Manoj Bhargava, partner Ankit Kashyap, and associates Varun Jetly and Ravina Mahajan.

L&L Partners acted for the Carlyle Group, which was the investor and selling shareholder, with a team consisting of partners Manan Lahoty and Manshoor Nazki, and associates Varun Baliga and Soumya Cheedi.

Clifford Chance was international counsel to the Carlyle Group, led by Singapore-based partner Rahul Guptan.
