Kian I urge you to report this piece from the Wire. MSM are chamchas of Modi and are reporting it as if this happened on merit. All media are sucking up to BJP in fear of what happened to NDTV.

Big deal! So when for all these years we had commies and Nehru parivar parasites getting the job you had no problem. What's your issue now!?? Scared that you are entitled pants are being torn off and you are being cast off to the street to face the reality??

You remind me of a person from my office (big law). That person is from a privileged background. Holds out to the world that free speech is what the person really beloved in. But when it fcomes to people their point of view on the secularism/pseudo-secularism issue, that person is the first one to shut, snub and slander these people.

You people are Hypocrites. You say the RSS alienates the minorities, causing radicalisation. But look at what you do? You alienate the Sympathisers of the Hindu cause, also causing radicalisation. Think about it and it's OK if you wanna kill yourself

@Suck it Up: What an idiot you are! The point is about a 33-year old PhD student with zero reputation in international law circles being nominated for a job where the average age is 50 to 70 and the people who make it are extremely eminent (QCs, Ivy League professors etc).

I don't think Guest had a problem with the existence of the gentleman's PhD or lack thereof. The issue that Guest seems have is the proximity of the gentleman with RSS, BJP and all other "communal" forces.

Your reply exemplifies the point sought to be made by 'suck it up' - instead of replying in the context of the conversation, you chose to call the comment stupid.

Guys this happens all the time - why make it a anti-BJP rant. My dear friend ' stupid comment', if you indeed have some depth to your knowledge you would recall that Vijay Laxmi Pandit was India's representative to the UN (without doubt a more hallowed position than the gentleman in question). What was her credential to have been chosen for the coveted and strategically important position? being Nehru's sibling.

The issue is of nepotism and the gentleman's beliefs should not be dragged into this. Be mature people.

We hope that Mr Kian will have the guts to report on the shameful acts of the fascist Modi government, such as:

1. Ban on NDTV

2. Non-appointment of judges to compromise the legal system

3. Regressive surrogacy bill

4. Frivolous sedition cases

5. As discussed above, appointment of junior RSS lawyer to ILC.
