1. NLSIU - undisputed
2. NALSAR / NLUD - students who clear ailet usually decide between NALSAR NLUD or NLSIU, now this is personal preference. but still, NLSIU > NALSAR / NLUD - UNDISPUTED
3. NUJS / NLUJ - this usually boils down to geography (most of the times) nujs and nluj both of them are great colleges have an amazing blend of succesful alumnis
4. NLUJ/NUJS - Same point as above
5. GNLU - this will remain the 5th college (nliu is not as good as gnlu)
6. NLIU - considering its bottom the tier 1, dont take it lightly you can build an amazingly strong career with the brand repo and alumni networks here too.
tier 2
7. HNLU - decent placements good oppurtunities and recognised brand repo
8. RMNLU / RGNUL / NLUO - (i would PERSONALLY KEEP NLUO above these, reason being these two have not been performing that well add on to that NLUO has a lot less politics and since past few years they have a better placement record and DEF A BETTER ALUMNI NETWORK) (REASEARCH FOR CHOOSING THE 8TH ONE)
9th and 10th RMNLU / RGNUL / NLUO - (same pointers as above + reasearch extremely well and then take into consideration eveyrthing then take your call bud)
Now tier 3 rankings
- there's no fixed ranking system of tier 3's
though points to be noted
1. CNLU has seen a jump
2. MNLU Nagpur has gone into the worst category of tier3s
3. tnnlu has few trilegal placements
4. nusrl ranchi has been facing serious backlash on catering (research this too)

cumming up the tier 3, id say its a better call to go for privs than these - more or less you will realise the academic structure and college structure dont cater to the potential of the students studying (sorry to say this buts its the reality).

How many days do you realistically have as offs? Are weekends working, or are you able to enjoy some semblance of work-life balance?
What salary/remuneration did you begin with? Has it increased over time?

(2) U.S.: (a) Not worth it at all for working there (U.S. lawyers seem to have a similar-to-NLU 'Lallum' mentality); and (b) not worth it academically (unless you're doing something very specific, e.g., Legal Philosophy at UCLA), as the difficulty of U.S. LLMs is lower than that of their UK counterparts - they are less academically heavy, less theoretical etc. The catch with U.S. LLMs is that, unlike the UK, you can't even enter the U.S. academic job market with an LLM + SJD (U.S. SJD is their PhD in law) combination, because:
(i) SJD admissions at most good U.S. law schools are very selective, as they only select from their own LLM students, maximum selecting one or two students per year (and sometimes none);
(ii) the SJD isn't a terminal degree designed for U.S. law students, but a doctoral degree designed for foreign students who would want to enter the academic job market in their own country or a third country (U.S. law schools almost never hire their own SJD graduates, to my knowledge), but with U.S. qualifications under their belt; and
(iii) if you can somehow get past (i) and (ii), you may not end up getting hired at anything like the best U.S. law schools.
GPA and Batch Rank otherwise add points to the CV. There are other components as well. Firms/partners have no specific approach of valuing components of the CV.
Rest, hope your email is read and luck plays its role in the transaction. Meanwhile try to specialise in the work you want to do. Also, your cover-letter matters a lot.
The Gates Foundation is a PR group. The work they under these 'charity initiatives' is completely unaccounted for and for a reason. Who do you think benefits from it?
Also, going by that logic, apparently the Ambanis fed around 5000 people everyday for free during the wedding in a langar of sorts. Does that count as charity? If yes, who gets to decide the cause for charity?
Ideally they should be paying up more taxes, and let the government decide while they keep re-investing the money into their business so more people get jobs to help their families out in anyway they can.
Also, much charity Bezos has done while not allowing his employees to even take piss breaks.
