1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.

Meanwhile, here is a media interview of Supreme Advocate Riya Sachthey, who is a third generation member of the club. Her suggestion is that an alternative space can be created for third generation members like her. She is making the point that Mumbai and Kolkata have such clubs too.

Halve Sarish sir can eat tens of engineers for breakfast.
This is not abolishing reservation but spreading it to others especially the first generation who have not received the benefits even today.
He went straight to teaching with just an LLM. I went through net, then JRF, then PhD and now I don't have anything to show for and he already has a 8-9 year long career. This is utter BS!!!
What's the point you are trying to make? Can we just live and try to earn a living without some douchebag comparing it to something else?
Why don't you go and join a PE fund?
Given the current scenario, if any of you have any idea of firms(T1s & T2s) in Bangalore looking for any Trainee or Assessment Intern, could you please name the firm and the team which is looking to hire for these roles. Given my multi practice exposure, I can easily be a good fit or atleast be taken to Interview stage and tested for my knowledge in the given area.
Please throw some light on firms still actively hiring for BO'26 from Bangalore?????!!!!!!!!
thanks :)
im just speculating really
(please hold back on the LLM is useless talk, I don't want to be a solicitor or anything like that).
I don't have the credentials for Oxbridge/LSE kinds of universities but say something like Kings College London etc. I'm wondering if this plan is feasible ?. I require no loan of the sort to fund my studies so debt is not a concern, my main concern once I go would be doing everything humanely possible to not come back.
Though if I must, I've realised that policy firms do give preferential treatments to these degrees, so thats a plus for what its worth but one I'm not interested in until I'm absolutely forced to return.
I'm currently spending all my time building a writing portfolio to express interest and competence in my niche (tech law).
I'm here so that people from more experience and seniority, or if luck has it those who paved similar routes can advise me on the feasibility of such a plan.
Notwithstanding the visa, job shitshow that the global economy is coming to, I'm otherwise seeking an assessment if the plan I've laid out for the next 5-6 years makes sense for my specific ambitions.
If you made it till here, thank you :).
Law isn't a rocket science.
It's just codified common sense.
It's better than to get sold off by Lawyers.
We all know how Sovan Chatterjee, the ex Mayor of Kolkata got his moniker Jal Sovan. Former IAS officer and TMC insider, Dipak Ghosh details it all.
I wonder why the new CM hasn't directed an audit of KMC finances, esp ADB, World Bank and GoI funded projects. Too late to do anything about DFID and those bfr 2011.
