"The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a term of 5 years from the date on which he/she
enters upon his office or until he/she attains the age of 70 (seventy) years, whichever is
earlier, and he shall not be eligible for re-appointment;

Tamil Nad, Kerala, Gujarat, Bengali are distinct culture based states.
MP, Bihar, UP, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh don't have that much state cultural identity. They are states made for administrative reasons. Not for cultural or language reasons.
For eg. Bihar - even Biharis don't call themselves Bihari. They consider it as an abusive word.
The farmers that represented to you as rich by mainstream media(pizza eating protestors from Punjab) have an average household income of less than Rs 30000 a month per household of four according to government data.
Only other state whose farmers are close to that income level is Haryana. All other state’s farmers are much lesser. Kis ko tax karein?
Is it possible to have a normal family life while working in a tier-1 firm?
If I want to start a family early (27-30Years Old), will I be able to do so while working?
Are there any present examples from whom I can take inspiration from? Are there parents who are able to be home by 6PM and spend time with their kids?
I just genuinely want to know what life looks like it and the possibilities it has. Don’t want it to be thread about people bashing each other for the choices, but rather present the choices available for those entering the field:)
Furthermore IRCCL also gets good amount of articles.
@'29 students: keep those criticisms in mind. Whatever bothers you about life at NALSAR, be it mess food, or toxic batchmates, or the crumbling campus - acknowledge the problem, and look for constructive solutions. It will be a long five years otherwise.
Consider that smart well informed people might disagree with you because theyve read things you havent.
I would say first figure out if you like the profession by giving 2-3 years. Once you enter the profession you’ll be exposed to lot of new things that may affect your decision. You’ll realise lot of people end up pursuing quite related/ non related fields of law. You might have to move to another city for a better opportunity.
Don’t think so much about finances and rent now. Give yourself time to figure out who you are and what you like.
What is the right time to buy your own house if you are working in a law firm? Just for your information, Delhi is not my hometown, and I come from an upper middle-class family. My parents are in favour of helping me in buying my own house.
I really think we need to amend our laws and allow this.
Else you will have to find something at Churchgate or New Marine lines. There are a few around on Pedder Road and Malbar Hill. Depends on what you want to spend.
Good luck.
Seriously though, there are a lot of PGs in Marine Lines, which is a short and direct bus ride away from Nariman Point.
The only good part is that its dirt cheap and attendance is not strict.
