We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

GLC if you think ROI before starting the law school.
The university is charging as high fees as around 3.5 L yet it is not providing even the basic facilities due to LACK OF FUNDS. God knows where are the funds going!!!
We have a temporary library which is very small and hardly any effort is being made for the construction of the permanent library. The same goes for the hostels. The university is increasing its batch size but no new hostel is being constructed. First-years have to stay far away from the campus without even basic facilities such as regular electricity supply.
Apart from this, there is no facility for sports.
Though the university, being situated in the heat bursting of Nagpur, has started using ACs in hostels yet the ACs in the Academic Block are not operational.
The worst thing is that hardly any construction work is being done.
Despite complaints from the Student Body, the university is not reducing the fees.
Now only GOD can save us.
what is a better field in terms of overall future opportunities and scope, probability of moving to corporate from this, money etc.
If i need to go directly to corporate I know it should be IPR in some firm then, but is it better in terms of all the above than regulatory litigation in long term.
I am asking here because I dont know where else to ask, although if anyone does not wants to answer but knows how to figure this out on your own with research I am okay doing that as well, pls tell me a way.
P.S. give reason with your ans so that I can understand,
who asks this?

The free market argument presupposes that there is an ethical way to do the prohibited act. There might be an ethical way to dispense drugs- pharmacies and drug regulation, and an ethical way to dispense alcohol- bars and alcohol licenses. But I dont think there is an ethical way to sell human beings. And that is the product being sold under prostitution- its the human being.
Especially when demand will always far outweigh supply. very very few women would happily sell their bodies when they have the option to do literally anything else. Very few women would consent to putting their lives and bodies at risk if they were not being trafficked, drugged, or experiencing financial destitution. There will always be more sex buyers than sellers, and in that market you will have every incentive to abuse and force and traffick people to sell. Legalisation doesn't, for me, come with any kind of meaningful regulation when the market is so skewed.
In any case this wasnt written to solicit an argument about prostitution per se, it was written to encourage people to say sincerely held beliefs that are taboo within their political tribe.
Firstly, the so-called "woke liberal ideology" if anything supports staunch veganism using the exact same logic you do. ( using woke in an idiotic manner is probably what got you marked trollish, but thats just speculation on my part )
Secondly, while there is nothing wrong with your perspective, others may have different perspectives - for example, they may believe that some animals are less intelligent/sapient and thus it's fine to eat them, they may believe that it's fine to eat all animals but we shouldn't mistreat them for no reason; they might even only support animals which they think are cute ( a little hypocritical and emotional yes, but your response imo is also unnecessarily vitriolic and is jumping to conclusions a little bit too far)
also note that mice are a much greater health and safety risk than dogs and cats, though even with those there are of course risks
I found debating society to be a refuge to the charged political atmosphere. If youre challenging yourself to argue a side you dont believe in pretty regularly, and you surround yourself with similar folks, that led to a lot of growth and discovery for me.I dont know if the debsoc is still that place on campus or no. Hopefully you will find some place that will do the same for you.
I dont know why its marked trollish. Mods here are completely captured by ideology.
Moreover, I'm concerned about why this post is being tagged as trollish when it raises a serious issue. Are diverse viewpoints not welcome in this forum? Isn't the goal to encourage thoughtful discourse rather than living in echo chambers?
be frank with the PA/SAs you're assigned to that you'd like to work there and have this be your assessment internship.
i personally loved my time with the team, they're very helpful and have a focus on maintaining a balance between work and personal lives. only had to stay in late a couple of times, and everyone was always really sweet.
best of luck with your internship!
What are things I should do before the internship (to prep), during and then after? (Including how to start the PPO conversation).
Anyone who has interned in the team and can provide some insights into how the team functions and stuff you’ve worked on? And what’s the general environment like?
Thanks so much. I’d really appreciate a detailed response :)
SJA needs some serious evidence. Cannot be wishy washy and half cooked stuff by vindictive faculty factions. Their politics will intensify in the coming days. SJA should talk to their predecessors especially the ones leading the charge against a well entrenched PIB and Co. Don't bother the ones from 2019-20 (coincidentally when NKC took over)
JDR and ND are done. Generated whole lot of gas.
They are very prompt in responding and always try to help their candidates.
Many times they go out of their way to help the candidates in finding the right opportunity.
I'm sure there are good people to help you out.
Try to stay away from her. Let her own karma hit her back.
Trust me, throughout my 29 years of life, I've never seen anyone escape their karma.
She'll face her own karma. You're probably facing yours.
Try to be a bigger person and let it slide this time. You'll not be ashamed of yourself later.
btw, doing CS will not help you at all when it comes to a law firm job. Not even in in house counsel jobs unless its a small company where they want to use the same guy as a lawyer as well as CS which happens at times
half the people are unemployable when they graduate because of this myth only :D
Good for ultra rich privileged people who don't need a job when they graduate
Rest must specialise ASAP
If you are a tax lawyer much easier to get a big law firm job, hardly any contenders at the junior level
Has anyone, so far, received any update on selection, or any emails in that regard?
Any leads would help a lot of the candidates because the registry has no answer
