We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

Focus on cs if you want to become a cs
Neither will help you increase your pay in their respective fields
Having said that if your ambition is to start a CS firm, or work in one, go for it!
LI exaggerates and the reality of many such instances is far from how it is portrayed here. NALSAR is a safe place (feels weird even writing this, because it is genuinely one of those places where issues like sexual harrasment are taken very seriously). So trust that there is nothing to worry about.
Matter of skills!
Same reason why many big names that the general population knows for their legal services are not from NLUs, but from GLCs and other colleges. NLUs only came about recently compared to the other law schools in India and abroad. The oldest NLU Alumni of many NLUs are just beginning or in the nascent stage of becoming senior counsels, or starting their own law firms, or becoming vice-chancellors in Universities.
In time, the Harvard name will carry less value, and other Universities from around the world will get their time in the sun. Based on recent news about employers not wanting to hire from Ivy League universities in the US (due to students' "activism>academics" attitude), is just the beginning.
What's the update on the WP lodged by the A/P alleging state inaction that is before the bench of Justice Jay Sengupta?
Even such old people know that the present VC is so bad!
Regards and thanks
Suppose you earn 12 LPA . Govt takes 30% and then another 5% goes in various taxes. Then you have to pay for your rent and living costs. Leave you with nothing to spend on yourself and family.
Awaiting for real and genuine feedback.
Three questions I suppose:
1. Is it the same as saying βTamil piece of faecal matterβ or βBengali piece of faecal matter?β Or is βJharkhandiβ not an ethnicity as such? Just an artificial state composed of different tribes?
2. Was it directed towards a particular person or a community as a whole? If a particular person, then he or she is not named, so how can it be an offence?
3. Can it be seen as a joke?
Where are those kids who were saying GNLU has surpassed NLUJ?
All the other Recruiters are either ghosting the candidates once they get their CV and have shared it with all of their clients or randomly circulating their profiles without their consent.
TMPL Consultants are very professional and responsive.
Looks like their jealous competitors are venting out as they cannot compete with them.
This is the only reason I was considering Jindal since they seem to have good professors and extracurriculars; but not that fond of spending 5 years in Haryana either.
Although, I would say in the long term I think GLC would be beneficial ROI wise.
More importantly, the lawyer who alleged sexual exploitation by AM and later issued a clarification, very cleverly signalled those who fell for the honey pots. That tells a lot.
More seriously, what has been the progress of the case? Why hasn't LC vigorously pursued the matter so that the police investigation is completed in a timely manner? Also what about internal inquiry by the Bengal unit of BJP and also by CISF/CRPF because their jawans allegedly participated in the sexual assault and intimidation?
im obviously still going i just want to be prepared for the worst
is it really terrible? will it get better in 5 years time?
No matter how much they internally ridicule mental health- its eventually going to catch up
To them when more and more people will choose firms with better working policies over these dictatorial firms
How is the PhD program at GNLU ? Is there a prerequisite for preparing the exam ? Do they prefer past experience ? Do I need to the contact the professor I wish to work under or is it a random allotment ?
