We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I'm a student at T2/3 NLU, and just started my third year at the age of 18. So, is it fine? I mean is it normal? And I'm a dropper too.
Even if I'm a fresher, is it fine.
People just stare at me, when i tell this, i don't know why.
However, this is not a ceiling which is unbreakable, this can be overcomed by the
I can tell you that tons of law firm associates invested like this and are now suffering from shock and depression, in addition to work-related stress.
They can give advice even on medical issues.

Fat people aren't just fat, they, more often than not, are frustrated/ angry and sad - because of low self-esteem/pride and poor response/ attitude of people toward them (relative to those who appear more presentable).
Pro-tip for women to fat or lean for their own good-
Finding your fitter self will surely take time. But in the meantime, wear Saris or Kurta and get your clothes stitched by a good tailor master (I can recommend good ones for Delhi and Mumbai). Avoid skirts or any other form of Western attire if you are βobeseβ (at least, for the time being). Don't be that person whose belly button is flashing at the word, between the spaces in your shirt. Stick to whites and lighter fabrics that breathe well. Saris hide excess weight like nothing else! Get them your saris/ kurtas stitched with enough margin inside for future alterations as you lose/ gain weight and look your better self!
And I'm really confused between GLC and ILS
I've heard that GLC has good placement and can intern throughout the year but really bad teaching staff
Which one should I join?
Please help me through this!
I am an upcoming intern in the Projects team at SAM's Mumbai Office. Does anyone have any feedback about the team. How is it? Also, what kind of work can I expect?
Additionally, how do callbacks work at SAM Mumbai?
I did not leave on good terms at a previous tier 1 that I was employed at. But during the course of interview with the partners, I did mention a few safe names from this workplace as I was asked about the people I had worked with.
The HR has now approached me asking for the names of my references in writing.
Would it be okay to skip this tier 1 and mention references from my earlier workplaces? Would this raise any suspicion?
Is it okay to mention a friend's name (same level as I) name from previous workplaces?
Will this law firm actually call up the references?
Middle class can't afford such a glorious health situation.
U for UP
I guess it was your dad's chamber as you are from JGLS?
If he lacks the control over his emotions that it takes to be her colleague, then he is going to create drama and make a fool out of himself in trying to lash out at her. It is extremely unprofessional.
He can't 'make her leave'. The idea is vindictive. This is all very filmy. If she cheated on him then he should certainly withdraw his friendship and warn any friends who want to date her in the future but that's all.
If he didn't have expectations then why is he here telling us what all he did for her? How it is relevant unless the implication is that she owes him something in return.
Au contraire, I've been the cheatee not the cheater but unlike you, I am not deliberately a jerk. Egging someone on to hurt someone else because toxic masculinity is disgusting. Check your assumptions and try to be a better person. Oh and before you make snide remarks about people who were cheated on, it was great in the long run because it freed me from a bad relationship.
This is not 'running away'. It is giving himself space to heal instead of adding to the drama she started. Hurting her won't make him feel better.
I'm losing my faith in humanity every single day.
God bless that guy!
2.if he finds it difficult to be around her, why should he leave, why should he not make her leave, but telling everyone what she did? Is running away th solution? Also, what if he's into a super niche practice which is there in only that city and they are bound to cross paths?
3. Also I don't know why you assumed that he'll be bitter for not dating him, when he clearly mentioned that she cheated on him and treated him disrespectfully. But yes, i understand that doing this might make him feel like a bad person.
But leaving the firm or the city doesn't make sense and also it's not very easy for niche practice areas. As he mentioned, there will be a pay cut.
But yes, your perspective is well appreciated, just that it's full of false assumptions and probably personal biases.
Not kidding.
Sounds like the guy should run away instead of making her run away.
Interesting.
Almost sounds like someone who has cheated on the guy.
I made that person resign from my team and we both moved on.
The best decision of my life. Saved a lot of mental agony and awkward situations.
You sound like a good man. I hope you make the right choices. Vengeance might taste sweet, but it may cause you a lot of guilt and self hate.
But it'll not be immoral or unethical if you tell everyone the truth about what happened and what kind of person she is.
The decision is yours to make.
But you situation is really sad. Sending you hugs and wishes.
God bless kiddo.
Everyone has their own journey, some may have crores saved with limited knowledge but a giant ego to show nothing for. Donβt compare yourself to a tier 1 kid who saved for 7 years.
It depends on firm to firm.
Good people to work with.
Thanks
Additionally are these laptops good, or do people prefer using Citrix on their personal laptops?
Please feel free to add info about other firms, in case in coming associates have the same question. Thanks!
Ps: Also, please recommendations for good windows laptops (ultrabooks) in the 80-90k range.
I really want to explore civil and commerical disputes (specifically litigation and arbitration).
I am in the initial years of my law school. We are yet to study CPC, Crpc etc. How should I go about learning about these fields, what internships, moots, publications to try for to build a CV. What does the job market look like ; chambers vs firms ? how to get recruited ?
That interview had everyone buzzing on LI -https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/359490-the-tarun-nangia-mohit-saraf-interview-for-newsx
