TLDR:
- EVM Is unconstitutional because my vote must be directly stamped on a paper and I can touch it. In a machine I cannot directly touch it and confirm who I voted for. I can only see the VVPAT receipt.
- Mischief can happen in the programming of the control unit

NKC actually went out of the way to promote this assistant professor to associate prof. However, two assistant profs (both alumni) submitted documentary evidence of academic misconduct etc. NKC couldn't make it disappear because the same was shared with some others as well. The matter was refer for preliminary fact-finding to the then Addl AG who opined that there was incriminating material. By then another advocate well-known to AG was brought in for "legal opinion" and the same was tailored to provide a loophole just enough to squeak in the promotion. NKC also held off all other pending inquiries, which would have had adverse outcomes. Those inquiries have been reactivated now.
So, the big question is what really soured between NKC and this teach. NKC did not oppose (actually he proposed) the teach's inclusion in powerful sub-committees constituted by the EC to suggest ways how pension can be provided to NUJS faculty and staff members.
So, I ask again what really are the sins of NKC esp concerning this faculty member?

The excesses of Left and TMC often eclipses the horrors that Congress unleashed back then. Eventually history will repeat again when we get Congress/TMC mukt Bengal or India. As always, the sheep are caught between the devil and the deep sea.
I have listed 8 broad castes, but within each castes there are sub-castes based on region, school etc. A whole hierarchy exists within these sub-castes as well. For example, ranks can be an issue. People literally introduce themselves as "Hi, I'm Aarav, CLAT merit list rank 5". It means I am superior to merit list rank 20. Even skin colour and genetics can be an issue. A Muslim batch mate of mine used to claim that his ancestors are from Iran, so he is superior to other Muslims with dark skin. Another batchmate told me he is a "Brahmin Christian" (whatever the F that means: it's apparently a thing in Kerala). Similarly, you have the Iyer-Iyengar rivalry.
People say you need to go to an Indian village to experience class and caste. Not really. Your average NLU is just as bad -- probably even worse.
1. Merit listers from elite backgrounds
2. Merit listers from non-elite backgrounds
3. Domicile candidates from elite backgrounds
4. NRI candidates from elite backgrounds
5. SC/ST/OBC candidates from elite backgrounds (e.g. child of an IAS officer from SC/ST quota)
6. Domicile/EWS candidates from non-elite backgrounds
7. NRI candidates from non-elite backgrounds (this can happen, e.g. a child whose family is rich but not well-educated, such as rich farmers, and this reflects in the child's socialisation and acculturation --- I have seen such cases)
8. SC/ST/OBC candidates from non-elite backgrounds

Itโs a bit of hazing here and there, nothing close to serious, plus senior students ensure that interactions only happen if the student is willing.
File official complaint in writing to dean/head of institution with a clear reference to anti ragging laws, with detailed description of the incident along with date, time & location.. better if you have a witness or co-victim.. even better if you have electronic evidence
Send the copy of the same to HRD Ministry & leak it on twitter & never withdraw it irrespective of pressure... educational institutions often suppress & hide these things & they too need to be shamed thoroughly...
This must never be taken in casual sense.. stand up with victim if you witness & offer your testimony at least, if you can't file complaint..
These sadist people must be punished hard
I've been working with an AoR since 2013

That aside, HNLU is the best Tier -2 NLU.
From my internship days, I remember some associates going very extra on interns. They would take a patronising (and sometimes, rude) tone with the interns as if the deliverables are an internโs responsibility. It is purely anecdotal but most of such associates are A0s or A1s who are not good at taking responsibilities and would rudely try to deflect it on interns. Avoid such people. You donโt have to report them but you can ignore them and their work by keeping yourself busy with other associatesโs work.
โYou are making gross generalizations about the quality of a paper or student on the basis of just one question.โ
Should one judge the quality of an entrance exam only when 10s or 100s of questions are messed up? You donโt determine how many questions should be messed up in a national level entrance exam so that that exam's quality can be questioned.
"Next I'm expecting you to cherry pick a few more questions from other clat papers from other years to support your statement."
Are you accepting that there are more questions in other CLAT papers which are as shitty as the one that I highlighted? Also, you really think I give two fucks about what was asked in the subsequent CLATs? I don't have to go and read the shitty CLAT papers in order for me to support my statement. I shall instead show you another messed up question that was asked in CLAT 2019 -
Beena got married 8 years ago. Today, her age is 11/4 times her age at the time of marriage. If her daughterโs age is 1/10 times her age, then her daughterโs age is:
(A) 3 years
(B) 4 years
(C) 5 years
(D) 2 years
The above question was cancelled as there was a printing error.
I did not expect the morons, who set the above question paper, to make such mistakes. Consequently, I ended up wasting my time trying to solve the above question. I did not pay 4,000 rupees only to anticipate wrong questions in the entrance exam. One should also note that many questions asked in CLAT are repetitive. People who set the question paper neednโt apply their mind.
Therefore, you guys, studying in the Top 3 NLUs, are on no high ground only because you scored well in CLAT. Y'all are as dumb as others.
2. Mention the specific team you want to intern with in your cover letter.
3. Highlight past internships in the same practice area and other achievements (see Mathew's comment describing the selection process here: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7163726041721622529?commentUrn=urn%3Ali%3Acomment%3A%28activity%3A7163726041721622529%2C7164122109202419712%29&dashCommentUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afsd_comment%3A%287164122109202419712%2Curn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7163726041721622529%29)
4. Follow up with the HR if you don't get a response.
Is it even possible to get internships at decent law firms leave alone tier 1 or tier 2 firms if you don't have any connections or references. been trying to get secure some but the firms do not even care to reply to the mails. while some of my batchmates who are absolutely dumb, have nothing in their cv are securing internships at khaitan and other places, we, who do not have any references or connections do not get even a rejection reply..
That said, I don't think the statement that the research score is not rising is fully correct. The publication by social science faculty, in particular, is winning awards at international level.
