We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I saw his last video on Instagram where he attributes the Pune Porsche accident, and the subsequent order of the judge to Modi. Not only this, there are several other "facts" he has been presenting that quite honestly are not even related to the ruling government in any way.
So please don't compare him to Kanhaiya Kumar, Mevnani, and the likes. They have far more integrity than this guy who I believe is only doing all this for money and fame.
If not, you do realize that it was Congress that formed our relationship with Russia, and that the difference between Congress and BJP on Gaza is literal lip service??
You all should know that MANY NLU alumni, who used to be hardcore leftists when in college, now work for T1 firms and support Adani and Modi. Adani is a wealth creator and Modi supports wealth creators. Which is what we need.
JSA has a reputation of good culture + good pay due to 8%. Iβd still like to think the culture is good. But if you are in JSA/ planning to join, please independently verify if the situation is still true for the particular team.
Let us Fer instnce, in March, you migjt work extremely hard kie hell and close 2-3 deals. Each deal has a mandate of 800K (overestimated figuress). An 8% share of that would be 64,000, which gets distributed among the team. The partner and senior take around 45-50, leaving you with 10-15(best best). So, what do you earn in March? Just an additional 25-30K. Other months, you only add 10-12K. In total, so only you add around 1L to your base salary.
A need for change iz needed. Egher the base salary needs to increase to match Tier 1 standards or there need to be other adjustments. Bespite these issues, the peoples here are goody goody good good good than tyre 1s.
All these reasons cumulatively makes it great.
That's what makes IITs, IIMs, top medical colleges, etc. what they are today. It's always the students.
No matter how much this forum or anyone tells merit is sham, it doesn't exist, etc etc, don't be a fool. Anyone who has cracked any exam with under 100/200 rank in this country, has put in the effort.
I am in a very local chotu sa ainvai sa college jiska kisi ne naam nahi suna tab likh raha hu. Linkedin dekhlo bhai sabka. Sab amir ban jate hai.
1. At the end logo ki badhia badhia job lag jati hai (nls se ho to same kaam ka extra paisa milega, han bhai bhot sari firms jhantu college walo ko jhantu salary deti hai).
2. Badhia LLM
3. Kuch na kuch badhia hi hota hai bhai
4. Faltu ka debate krne se acha jake kaam karle jivan me kuch acha kar payga.
Dil ko behlane ke liye Ghalib khayal acha hai"
Aveek had to vacate dominant positions. Juggernaut Books didn't make the expected splash. ABP Online didn't take off that well. And now Arup and son are in dominant control. Somehow due to layered and complicated shareholding ABP News (including ABP Ananda) is yet to come under the exclusive control of the feuding brothers.
But beyond all this I am not surprised that ABP, The Statesman, TOI and Indian Express did not report. Certain faculty members, including alumni teach had those stories killed off when clarifications were sought.
Its Hunger Games. Wise up SJA.
2. If you seriously think that you can get in using your own determination etc., that's wonderful. The process for getting vacation schemes and training contracts in London at many firms is one that is particularly conducive to individual effort, as it is long and requires you to go through many steps, which an RCC-type of organisation is ill-equipt to help you with. Therefore, if you can apply yourself to learning about the process of individual firms, practicing Situational Judgement Test practice samples (SJTs as they are known), demonstrating the ability to work in a group in various firms' assessment centres, demonstrate your commercial awareness (i.e., an understanding of how a law firm, as a buisness, is impacted by market movements) and generally show interest in becoming a commercial lawyer, there is no reason why you couldn't be successful in an application process for a vacation scheme (essentially an internship where commercial law firms in London assess your performance before selecting you for a TC) or directly for a TC itself. Do make sure, however, to check with the Graduate Recruitment departments of your chosen firms whether they will sponsor visas for vacation schemes, for if they won't, you may have to apply for a direct training contract itself. Don't worry too much about work visa sponsorship for TC and PQE though, as most firms within the square mile in London at least - the credible names (the big names you think of like Freshfields, CC, A&O Shearman) - are Skilled Worker sponsors, who pay at the rates required by the skilled worker thresholds/going rates that UKVI/Home Office has set. While you'll be competing with those from British unis, other international unis and the NLUs, if you can demonstrate academic excellence along with the other qualities I described above, there's no reason why you couldn't possibly enjoy a successful international career.
Honestly go somewhere where you can use your second best language and it'll be fine. You don't need to be super fluent (and you'll improve with practice anyway).
And if it's litigation think about staying for free with your parents or cutting costs for a few years - to do that, even go to where you can speak your third or fourth language.

im in grade 12 and im a science student. ive been preparing for clat since april, and i have been giving mocks every week. however, my score has kind of stagnated in the legal reasoning part. i have not been able to score over 19 and its frustrating and demoralizing. my overall score has improved little by little, but legal remains the same. 19. considering that legal reasoning score is a tie breaker in clat, im really nervous about this. i have been analysing but somehow im not able to get to the root of the problem.
what to do? pls help
So if you want to really want to work, join the chambers, join an ngo or work in a research institute. But if you just want mindless work, where you're paid money and chill at home, then continue being a corporate slave.
