We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I remember them mocking trump for Election fraud excuse. Lets see will they do the same to themself or not.
My incentives then as a professor is to make my own life easy- hand out free grades, look the other way with cheating, reduce my teaching load as much as possible, work on research and publications and improve my own CV for promotions, spend time with my family, reduce conflict in my life.
People who can bear to live with the corruption stay at my law school- those who cant leave. So over time- you get more and more alone. Why cause drama for yourself?
If students want different- youre going to have to be different.
The reason I mentioned these names ie because they started/headed organisations in the space and they write prolifically so anyone wanting to read indian lawyers in tech law should start reading here.
Theres obviously a sex disparity- but I dont think getting angry at us will do you much good. You need to get angry at people twenty years ago who gate kept tech law, or at women twenty years ago who chose not to pursue it because it was too niche.
Tech law-you dont have to work for a company, you could start an NGO, an independent consultancy, and do seriously good work outside academia while getting paid a good amount of money.
"There are still academics doing good work everywhere" is a nothing statement. The best people in this area are not usually found in a university space.
According to me it's just a bias and old boys network. NLU grads can do just as well as IIT-IIM grads in these jobs, if not better.
Further there are many international moots that do release speaker scores, ranks and results of individual rounds.
Keep it crisp, praise the person you are writing to, highlight your best achievements and how is it relevant to them
All the best 👍
#### 4.Bilingual Education for Accessible Justice?+
In a bid to enhance access to justice and reduce delays, institutions offering legal education must endeavor to provide bilingual instruction, utilizing both English and the respective regional or bilingual language, as stipulated by the National Education Policy (NEP). This raises several pertinent questions:
1. Translation and Faculty Requirements at NLUs:
- Will NLUs now be required to translate their entire syllabus into Hindi? If so, will they need to hire a substantial Hindi-speaking faculty?
- CLAT Examination in Hindi
- Will the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) also be conducted in Hindi? If this is implemented, it could potentially undermine the fundamental purpose of the examination.
- Adherence by CNLU:
- - Will (CNLU) even adhere to these new guidelines?
- Here is the guidelines

NKC has made a very stupid mistake by doing this. This is not some rural law college where such nonsense and moral policing by the admin can pass. He has alienated every single student and alum.
2. The regi himself had dismissed the complaint 2 months ago, saying that he couldn't acknowledge such anon emails without evidence. Of course, now that the girl has led the protest against the VC and signed that petition, they are digging up such old frivolous things against her.
3. She should sue the VC who has illegally issued the show cause notice. VC isn't allowed to issue such notice anyway, it's the duty of the regi who is the chief warden. This guy will lose all cases in court.
Didn't make sense for me to do litigation for 2 years and then move to a firm. Those initial 2 years are a huge struggle.
Jindal is fully compliant with BCI guidelines.
1. Try to complete your PhD as early as possible. PhD has maximum points on API score, and some universities look for a minimum API score and will filter you out if you don't have a minimum score.
2. If you have to work before starting PhD, work as a faculty. Teaching experience >> Research experience if you're applying for teaching.
3. If you are looking for a pure research position in academia, being abroad is a much better choice.
4. MOST IMPORTANT: Try to find a Godmother/Godfather in academia. Connections matter.
5. Job market is bad in academia as well. 200 people apply for 2 posts. PhD and connections matter.
6. In private universities except JGLS, sometimes you've to teach 3-4 subjects. Be prepared for that.
7. Even in top NLUs, don't expect to get the subjects of your specialisation. You may be given subjects where teachers are lacking.
8. Advertisements are deceiving. Advertisement may say that your role is for research in X area, but later you may realize that the university doesn't have any research in X area.
Sure, if you're passionate and really love handing out judgements, no big deal. However, it's not the best career for a slow & peaceful life. Moreover, I've noticed post-covid the political interference has risen, earlier it would be behind closed doors and very far and few. Now it's openly rampant. However if you still prefer judiciary, Himachal>Uttarakhand.
Ikigai offers assessment internships but doesn't make any PPO offers. They prefer taking graduates as Trainees.
Moreover I'm yet to confirm
