- Most wealth is owned by upper castes
- Upper castes have got richer under Modi
- Solution is to tax just a small fraction of upper castes, who are an even smaller fraction of the total population
- This section represents those owning more than 10 crore in assets: comes to 0.04% of India's total population (if you take the population as 1.5 billion, that comes to 600,000 people).
Do you all support this idea? My only caveat is that 0.04%/600,000 is an underestimate and may not include many traders and farmers who under-declare income. I think the number of people who own more than 10 crores in India will be closer to 6 million, i.e. 10 times as much.

Any leads ??
Attendance is definitely a requirement now in GLC.
PGCL doesn't really have any decent faculty, making class room learning pointless. The faculty merely reads from bare acts which is far from how subjects are taught in National Law Universities. GLC has a few professors who actually teach well and are reputed. Students line up for their classes.
If you are taking PGCL you might as well take any random college available through MHCET. Because only GLC and ILS are relevant in the legal fraternity.
GLC still has the best placement stats in all of Maharashtra significantly
GLC is famous only for its alumni base and they don't really play a role anymore. The placements have been deteriorating drastically now. You can check their stats. Not to mention it's not worth spending 5 years in a college with poor management, placement and infrastructure. You can check with the students of GLC, even though firms come to their college for recruitment they barely hire. A girl was raped last year in the hostel opposite the College, it's not safe to stay there either.
would a better experience and superior guidance from faculty be worth the trade off for an hour's commute? My sister and brother-in-law have both suggested PGCL even if the commute is shitty because they think that some classroom learning is still relevant, which is lost out in GLC. They're BO '19 and BO '21 graduates of PGCL, and they said that Y1 and Y2 GLC interns are infamous in their workplace (both T1 firms) for not having any legal knowledge.
Can anyone tell me more about due diligence in CM? What are the chapters, etc as this information is not available anywhere. Thanks.
also this is a real start of philanthropy wrt nlus, hopefully others can emulate it
The LW view is that it shows a deep-rooted rot and it's hypocritical to blame her because UCs show off their caste by retaining their surnames and through marriages to UCs. They also oppose reservation all the time, which is also quarrelsome. The RW is overlooking a whole host of micro aggressions.
So what about NLUs? Are such sentiments there as well? Is there casteism in dating? Do Dalits face discrimination?

Which firms in the Tier 1s hire 5th year students? I've heard SAM doesn't, and I guess Trilegal doesn't either. Please let me know how to go about things, I've been having a lot of anxiety thinking about this and potentially ending jobless (or just some small law firm). Money would really solve a lot of problems at home.
I would greatly appreciate any advice or tips from those who have previously interned at Luthra and JSA or have experience in securing a PPO at a top law firm.
I am a final year student from a private college, have some decent internships and ranked among the top 5 in the batch.
Please guide me who is currently hiring for 2025 with a good package.
I am afraid when I will secure the PPO, i am really depressed as the competition is really high.
Please guide for law firms or corporate companies worth joining as a fresher also quote their fresher's salary.
Um.. that doesnβt sound serious enough to deny someone a degree!

For now, the next big thing to watch out for is the election result on 4 June. If the TMC thrashes the BJP, the BJP will be finished in Bengal and NUJS will be fortified further as a TMC bastion. If the BJP thrashes the TMC, then a regime change in Bengal in 2026 is certain. If both parties have roughly equal seats, tough to say.

difficult to prove as on both situations the complainant is likely to be alone with the alleged perpetrator, it will come down to whose testimony is more believable
lmao why are there so many of them?! like they'll rabidly go against anything and everything Adani-Ambani and the like only to join their high paying exploitative firm in the end??? where do their principles go then, have some shame fgs
So Cyril is looking at the crystal ballβ¦
Her SRCC - IIMA credentials are indeed inspiring.
We were expecting a mature response from the college, but the Acting Principal has given the most nonsensical response.

Should I take this internship up knowing full well that a PPO interview won't be possible before Day Z?
