1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Not very clear about law but all of this is a very common business practice. Emails, cold calls, meet and greets. People adopt whatever method they are comfortable with to put their name out there and as you put it, to solicit clients.
I donβt mind if they ask my ex boss about me as long as they still interview me because I know i have grown leaps and bounds since then

I want some reassurance from my fellow mates and seniors as to how I can smoothly manage my internship while impressing my senior as well. I also wanted to know if my offer letter can be revoked if I don't perform up to their standards?
Any comments/reassurance will be helpful. Thank you lovely humans.

Chennai
Hyderabad
Ahmedabad
But these places never caught up with even likes of Bangalore in 30 years. Will not catch up even in the future.
Got NUJS kolkata next year. So yeah if you are confident about yourself, it can work.
