1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

The sub section you have quoted pertains to reproduction of published extracts in collections or compilations.
Untrue statement pulled out of one ass workout research. There are more than two dozen at NLS alone.
I believe the ratio of great, mediocre, and bad professors at my university is 10:50:40. After paying lakhs in coaching and now three years of law school, I am coming to regret my decision. Is the scene similar in other NLUs too?
At some point or the other, you must've dealt with interns and them 'bugging you' for work and the like. What I'm looking for is stories about some interns you all have worked with that made you go "what is this kid on?", whether it be weird behaviour, erratic work product (sometimes good, sometimes not), the sheer audacity and the like. Whatever set them apart, either in a good or bad fashion - you'll know better due to first hand experience. Did you end up hiring that kid?
Let this be a place to share weird stories anonymously to take a break from the animosity each group shows the other on this platform. Who knows? You may end up getting better interns if they read this thread!
To those in law school still, feel free to talk about your co-interns in the same fashion.
What all subjects do I need to study for disputes ?
I have heard about the international arbitration thing, but it is majorly for Paris/Belgium/Singapore.
I would love to hear some insights on these. Are there any lawyers who have done this and can share a bit themselves? Thank you.
Been trying for some competitions here and there but tough luck so far however, there's one major problem that I've been facing since joining university.
I've become a person with no personality. I've left my obsession with watching anime, web series, and video games, something that was my life before I decided to prepare for class. I read some books here and there but that's like 5-6 books (outside of curriculum) a semester. The tight schedule in our uni prevents me from working out a lot or playing any sport for a lot of time. 8-10k steps a day at most.
I look at the ceiling fan or my Instagram feed for the whole day and wonder if there's anything to my personality other than being a clown and an academic validation seeker. I'm friends with almost everyone but I dislike almost all of them from the bottom of my heart (people here hate you and act like you're buddies since childhood). I tried making meaningful friendships but I'm unable to attach or bond with anyone I've met so far. I've a girlfriend back in my hometown but I don't want to impose myself on her 24/7.
Is there anyone who had a similar situation and healthily tackled such issues? So far all I believe is that it's a part of growing up and I should just man up and face it. I'm considering visiting the university counsellor but do I even have a problem to begin with?
The root if this was from the industrial revolution during which Europe was seized with a heady mix of conflicting influences from the church, the governments and the capitalists during which the labor was cheap because of the general population was largely poor, less educated and looking for opportunities to getting the economic benefits of industrial revolution. Capitalists colluded with the governments and maximized their profits at the cost of cheap but hard labor. In the backdrop of lack of interest either from the government or from the church the labor was taken for granted that led to birth of socialism orchestrated by Carl Marx.
It definitely helped overcome the exploitation of the labor class through socialist/ communist movements that spread and found roots across the world. Now the situation is pretty changed for good with the level of improved knowledge of the social systems among the workers and exploitation is hardly a means achieve any tangible objectives.
So forget about redistribution of resources/ wealth or whatever muck you call it, even your street vendor would pounce at you if you ever talk about govt confiscating someone's wealth for redistribution.

Join if you do not have a better alternative. In-house salary progression depends on your initial joining payscale as the yearly increment in percentage terms are nowhere near law firms. That being said, in-house pay varies across industries and size of the organisation. Service sector will pay more than manufacturing. Advisory role will pay more than managing litigations. Make sure that you learn as much as you can in the initial months and make yourself useful in every situation. When asking for a hike, the organisation will only look at how replaceable you are. So it helps to be irreplaceable. Also be clear about CTC and pay progression roadmap for at least two years. Many companies mess around with CTC, non-CTC components and in the end there might not even be an increase in your in-hand pay.
Keep upskilling yourself in areas of interest if the current job is not in an area of your interest. One thing to keep in mind is switching jobs will always result in a higher salary than sticking to one organisation. Ideally move quickly (within 2-3 years) initially and then slow down once you reach middle management levels. Aim for 10+ lpa within the next 2 years either by negotiating a hike or switching to a better paymaster.Wish you all the best.

Only more expensive
If you want to migrate to canada or get a remote job there, just clear NCA exam, that makes you officially equivalent to a Canadian graduate at half the time and one tenth the cost!
Also once you clear NCA it is super easy to get either a PR or a work permit and land a job as a paralegal or legal assistant
Then you go to canada, appear in the next edition of state bar exams (best is ontario)
All the best 🙌

100% relevant for India. College students in India have grown up under Modi's rule and seeing the CAA protests and farm protests, plus following international events on social media like BLM, Gaza and racism under Trump. Just a matter of time before college campus here become full-on protest zones.
