$3 million in the bank. Earned $ 2 million, $ 1 million gains from ETFs. $ 2 million savings over 20 years is not difficult. not frugal, spent tons of money travelling and buying useless crap. Don't think I can spend all of it in this lifetime. Single, no dependants. Parents have their own money. Retirement isn't boring. Spend 4-5 hours reading, rest of the time watching sports/movies. Need to spend more time at the gym though.

I’ve spent almost a year working extremely hard in an in-house legal team as an apprentice/trainee. Long hours, high ownership, strong feedback, and constant appreciation about my work and the standards I set. But despite all the praise, I wasn’t converted into a full-time role.

Now I feel stuck in a strange gap , too experienced for entry-level roles, but not “experienced enough” for most in-house openings that ask for 2+ years PQE.

For those who’ve been through something similar how did you bridge this stage? Did you move to a law firm first, contract roles, startups, or something else to build qualifying experience? I’m trying to find a practical direction from here.
