She said Chomskyโs 2019 advice to Epstein on rehabilitating his image should be understood โin contextโ.
โEpstein had claimed to Noam that he [Epstein] was being unfairly persecuted, and Noam spoke from his own experience in political controversies with the media. Epstein created a manipulative narrative about his case, which Noam, in good faith, believed in,โ she said in her statement. โIt is now clear that it was all orchestrated, having as, at least, one of Epsteinโs intentions to try to have someone like Noam repairing Epsteinโs reputation by association.
โNoamโs criticism was never directed at the womenโs movement; on the contrary, he has always supported gender equity and womenโs rights. What happened was that Epstein took advantage of Noamโs public criticism towards what came to be known as โcancelling cultureโ to present himself as a victim of it,โ she added.
Another message from Noam Chomsky released by the House oversight committee last yearshowed Chomsky saying it was a โmost valuable experienceโ to have โregular contactโ with Epstein (itโs unclear if the message was ever sent to anyone). Other messages released by the justice department show Epstein sharing a phallic joke with Chomsky, and Chomsky โfantasizing about the Caribbean islandโ.
Valeria Chomsky said that the couple attended dinners at Epsteinโs townhouse in New York City, stayed at his apartments there and in Paris, had dinner at his ranch in New Mexico, and attended multiple academic gatherings with him. She said they โnever went to his island or knew about anything that happened thereโ.

Now I feel stuck in a strange gap , too experienced for entry-level roles, but not โexperienced enoughโ for most in-house openings that ask for 2+ years PQE.
For those whoโve been through something similar how did you bridge this stage? Did you move to a law firm first, contract roles, startups, or something else to build qualifying experience? Iโm trying to find a practical direction from here.
