How much do junior and senior standing counsels for Income tax department and CGST customs department earn per day ? I know it depends on the work that they do but I'm asking what's the average per day including drafting appearances and all is it something like 5k per day for junior standing counsel and 10k.per day for senior ? Wow. Comments are a cesspool of incels and misogynists. Try and comprehend (I know it's an uphill struggle for you lot) that the woman requires to be maintained to the same standard she enjoyed before the divorce. This is the very least that is required in a society such as ours.

If only alimony laws were like this. When granting alimony, law is not concerned with her past standard, rather the standard of living she has at matrimonial house and the income of spouse. Bearing these factors, a high amount does not look unreasonable. Also, all the other allegation of hiding past, cheating etc will be looked at the trial, not at the time of fixing interim maintenance.

1. In order to publish a research paper (RP), pick an area of law, narrow down a topic within that area and try to read up on material surrounding that topic. There are multiple websites that explain this in detail. Then, you can start writing.

2. You can either publish a paper by yourself or with a co-author. In most cases, journals don't allow more than 2-3 authors on one paper.

3. After you're done writing your paper, shortlist journals that fit the topic and the area of law you've chosen and go to their website. The process to send them a paper will be written down.

Journals have different types of articles (i.e. essay, case comments, blogs, book reviews, etc.). The criteria for each type of article is mentioned on the website.

4. It is more difficult to get published in a Scopus-indexed journal than in an NLU journal because Scopus indexed journals go through multiple rounds of rigorous reviewing and can easily take up to a year (this is what I have heard so do your own research as well).

5. NLU Journals are always a good start. DO NOT:

> go for any journal that makes you pay a fee for publishing.

> go for any journal that promises to publish your paper in a day or two. Most journals take 2 months to review your paper.

6. You can also opt for blogs, but they need to be relevant topics.

Hi all, batch of 26 here, I am interning at IndusLaw, TMT team, in July. I previously interned in Jan 2025 and was offered a callback (was explicitly told in writing that it's an assessment) for the month of July 2025. considering the timings vis-a-vis day zero placements - what is the likelihood of getting a ppo/job offer based on this internship? for some clarity, i will not be sitting for placements owing to some extenuating circumstances (please don't advise me to do so, i have exhausted all possible avenues, and it is unfortunately just not happening for me lol)

That's not true at all. Plenty of folks who don't get placed on or before Day Z intern throughout their final year. This is in fact how most people with lower grades are in fact able to secure positions at good firms. Certain firms in NCR and almost all firms in Mumbai offer 6 month long paralegalships to these final year students, which often get converted into a full-time position at their completion.

This is probably the most important court case happening in India right now. A conviction pretty much means the end of the Congress party.

More than law firms doing a check, be careful about cancel culture vigilantes (from both the left and right) doing so. For example, if you ever posted “F**k Adani and Modi”, OpIndia and the BJP people will do a hit job and retweet it, tagging your employer (especially if it’s CAM). All of what you mentioned - but it’ll mostly be more to do with material things - one of my former partners was/is the biggest man-child with an affinity for all things shiny (including women other than his wife from his love-marriage) - he promoted such a bad culture in the team, you either became like him (including engaging in licking his boots but being a bully to everyone junior to you) or you left the “team”. He was/is quite the “jaat-buddhi” (self described) who just knew how to speak english the right way

Find a boss that is a good “human” (if possible) and the rest will sort itself out
