Lawyers working in litigation offices—whether chambers or law firms—are, in effect, apprentices. It’s unquestionably wrong that they’re expected to work without fair compensation, but that remains the harsh reality of our time.
Corporate law firms have failed miserably at disrupting this culture—largely because they account for less than 1% of the work flowing into the courts.
Enrolment is fine, but AIBE would be needed. But Association membership on payment of chanda is certainly not needed to practice law.
All of the BA LLB's top rankers knew they had pretty much confirmed spots at T-1s on Day-0, and that the RCC rules meant that if selected by NDA they would be unable to participate at Day-0. As such, pretty much no one with a decently high rank applied to NDA from the BALLBs while the LLB's had a lot of top rankers apply.
As such, this idea that firm's prefer the 3 Year LLB's is misguided because a large chunk of the BA LLB's just didn't apply to NDA. But regardless, This stupid internal fighting is clearly being brought up by someone who either 1. Not a student here or 2. a junior who hasn't sat for day 0. And if they spent half as much time studying than they did engaging in this, maybe they'd have a career to worry about instead of this.

I really regret that I did not know about these things during my period at law school. Would have helped me to be clear about my career choices and expectations in life.
Law as a profession attracts toxicity from the day you start preparing for law entrance exams imho.
I really dont know if its with the entire batch but most of us (non nlu people) havent been placed yet. Seeing the 2026 batch getting placement is certainly very depressing. Would really appreciate leads for a fresher role in GC primarily, but honestly anything works :'(
