Also would appreciate any insights on the work culture, timings and the work from current or former associates.
A. PWD means the university did not hold a tender at all. Since technically it represents state government, hence it doesn't have to be awarded through tender. This is state PWD, which is even worse in terms of efficiency and charges way more.
B. Who are these LLM students who are teaching?
C. Faculty sensitisation won't help with the marks. In law, one cannot expect to score 90 out of 100. Too much subjectivity. This isn't science. The ten pointer scale was itself faulty. A MAKAUT tech guy had suggested that, who has since then been removed from the VC position even there.
D. Most important point, students are the main sufferers under his rule. Why aren't they protesting? Why aren't the alumni banding together like NLSIU alumni to push for a good VC? If they accept him meekly, why will the state bother?
So I can finally write rap music.

I wanted to know if I should switch now so that I don't make the same mistakes my seniors did and if so are there any other practice areas at Teir 1 firms with reasonable work hours and expectations (obviously there may be waves of bad times as long as it is not perpetual). It would be great if I could get inputs from people at different practice areas at various T1s.

Trouble is. deporting a lot of people in a short amount of time is difficult to get right. What are we doing to make sure there arent mistakes? to ensure that we arent being inhumane to those we are deporting?

Heard from Headhunters that theyโre looking for 8 to 10 partners with teams, which suggests they are building a strong network of experts. They likely want partners with established capabilities who can handle large, complex projects, not just individual contributors.
The man has a created a 150+ person firm and is now a very busy Senior Advocate. Either one alone would be very impressive.
Most people on here are so blinded with M&A/PE/Corp that that seems to be the only relevant metric for Tier 1/2 classifications. But if you look at Tax, which is a very large and very lucrative practice, ELP & LKS are the two undisputed Tier 1 firms. That house was built on RSโ shoulders, without him there would be no ELP.
But what about U.K. and Singapore? Even they hardly a single/or maximum 2-3 offers to our domestic students and that too, who have exceptionally performed in their academics, publications and foreign moots. Why donโt these jurisdictions hire in bulk?

A recent graduate is looking for a job, so if you have any leads on current or potential vacancies, it would be greatly appreciated. Moreover, his intellect and previous work would assure you that he is a sincere and hardworking guy; you would know when you get to know him.
