And, of course, let’s not forget the students. The present generation is completely disinterested in improving the college and only concerned about grade inflation and placements.
The University "used" to be one of the fastest-growing among the NLUs. But in today's time, it is marred by a shortage of experienced faculties. The academic council is unaware or chooses to be ignorant about the ground reality of the students - results in half-baked academic curriculum. The whole semester would be messed up. Every day, you wake up to new guidelines, new allotted classrooms, attendance issues and so on and so forth.
In my last semester, 3 veteran faculty members are leaving already. They used to be the founding members of NLUO. Not because they are nearing their retirement age, but due to the sheer politics of VC and her management.
But it comes with some benefits though. NLUO will give you the freedom you always wanted. No Cap. But it comes with some cost (you will figure out once you go there)
The alumni network is being reworked for better holistic development. Students are given the freedom to excel in their own ways. It's package. A Pandora's box. And worthwhile living.

I wanted to ask - which law firms (specifically tmt) offer online or hybrid internships?
GNLU - possible through vacancies post the release of the 5th merit list. You'll have to keep checking the university's website
There's a high possibility that you might get in those NLUs below these two as per your preference list.
Can I expect GNLU/NLIU this year?
1. Mostly first years, except for 8 odd people, get either a Cubicle (single-sharing room in a 4-cubicle room) or bunk beds in the Warden's House. PwD candidates get a single room. Also, every one of us has to go through a bunk bed once in five years, and it would be either in the first or second year.
2. You get a bed, a table, and a cupboard. Then the AC and its remote.

2. Second, learn how to do research. Some of what you are asking about is bound to be available on the NLUD website or via the NLUD hostel rulebooks.

5. Keep in mind that Legally India is full of trolls, who will jump at any opportunity to make fun of all law schools but their own. That might mean people from other unis may give you bullshit information which doesn't reflect what goes on at NLUD.

I can say faculty have no role in assisting for placement. Few of them can help you with internship but if you in their good eyes

Who wants to take package through college assistance when you get 2.5 to 4 lakh when you have paid 35 lakhs including hostel.

Faculty are good supportive, college staf everything is good except it is cheap and placement cell. Even if you are in top 10 student cgpa wise don't get confidence that I will be placed

Your are pretty much all set for T1 firms long as you do the bare minimum (minimum not as in just barely pass at bottom of the class, but bare minimum as an active student). CRITICAL: Take help from seniors

You might face elitism/discrimination/whatever -ism or -tion if you are not general category
There have been one or two (rumoured) incidents of roofies being used at parties during past years so be careful
I think this approach is just bogus. The guy BO’26 from my college, who got our first PPO from a Tier 1 has done exactly 0 moots and ADRs. One should not devote extensive amount of time on these competitions to navigate a career in corp law since the very job of a corp lawyer is to not let the matters go in court. Instead research more about your practice area and have reputable publications. Every law firm has its research corner, none of them really care about moots. Preach.
OP, please look up MTI (mother tongue influence) on the internet and see if that is what you are worried about? If yes, there may be material to read and videos to watch on how to address that.
As unfortunate as it may be, there is an unconscious negative bias against lawyers whose spoken English sounds different from the majority of the speakers. While at times, this is not expressed openly, this is evident from the low number of people with a strong MTI at senior levels in large firms.
