Delhi lit folks, how was Justice Verma's standing before the bar generally? Was he considered to be a good judge? aware there was that previous FIR against him, but beats me why a sitting high court judge would randomly keep crores in cash at his official residence, especially in the age of . If allegations are indeed true then it is indeed a dark day for the judiciary, but something seems amiss.
One wonders what on earth was the fire chief talking about.
There are plenty of threads on the criminal litigation scene in Bombay and Delhi, but Calcutta remains somewhat underexplored.
Thanks in advance! (Also, sarcastic responses are welcome for wit, after all, is a great signifier of wisdom.)
its a flex to say you are dual qualified, although the CPD and annual fees for SRA is expensive
Have you proven your ability in the law firm to be even called back, or you are just another monthly intern is the question.
We have had pretty smart interns who got called back, became paralegals and eventually got converted to Associates. Prove your ability and take your seat. Period.
Took me a few years of slogging and living like a litigation chamber junior while making T1 pay to really pull myself back from red to a green figure which would be respectable with incoming bonus (nowhere comparable to what it would be without the debts, but I canβt lose sleep over that).
Ofcourse, its not comparable to larger and more crippling debt like house loans or failed family business debt. But in my experience all it takes is slipping into a figurative coma for a few years to ensure doing nothing but the right thing in servicing the debt.
The sense of freedom you get on the other side, its like a new lease of life honestly.
