Nothing is black or white, everything comes in shades of grey. While incidents like the Bagh Massacre were definitely inexcusable, there's also plenty of positives of colonialism- most importantly, building institutions in the country.

What happened has happened. Either Indians can still bitch and moan about colonialism, or we can take a leaf from Japan, a country that was literally nuked by the United States, but still stuck to the path of nation building rather than blaming all of their problems on historical incidents.

The only good part of this non TD team is that you will meet your targets. But that’s simply cause you will die each day trying to meet the insane amount of work and the fake deadlines created by this partner for their own insatiable greed and an attempt to raise their own status and standard of living. All the bad reviews on legally India for JSA bnf or JSA ATU are solely because of this one single team and these bad reviews do not apply to the rest of the JSA banking vertical.

If I have to Judge - I would say the place is not being able to host best of the best crowd well as could have been done at other NLUs but to median and down to that. It does well.

Study law anywhere, as long as you’re absolutely certain that you have the aptitude and inclination for it. The entrance exams and your ability to secure admission to one of the top seven NLUs serve as an excellent benchmark. If, after honest preparation and at most a second attempt, you still can’t make the cut, consider redirecting your time and resources toward a profession that better aligns with your strengths—because that’s where you’ll truly excel.

Please don’t waste your money on these ₹30-50 lakh programs just because you can (even with a loan). That would be a poor decision! Only consider institutions like SLS or JGLS if:

a) They offer you a substantial scholarship, and

b) You’ve managed to secure a top-seven NLU test score.

Know this—these institutions are in the business of selling education. There is little regulatory or independent oversight on the criteria they use to select candidates. Do not pursue law simply because you managed to get into such colleges; that alone is not reason enough.

India already has more lawyers than it needs. Joblessness is at an all-time high, and competition is fiercer than ever.

I'm a non-NLU, starting my final year in June. My university is fairly new, and I’m an average student, but I have some experience in cap marks and have done courses on M&A, along with a few GC internships. Which firms offer good exposure in this area and will actually consider me? How should I approach them, and what should I focus on to improve my chances? Hi, everyone. This might be the last place to ask for this but I'm taking a shot anyway - make fun if you'd like.

I am an A0 at a law firm in the GC team. I want to get better at understanding things and I am studying/reading up on my own. But if there's certain things that I don't understand that come with practical experience or right now, as an A0 don't know when it's appropriate to move to a better team, etc., I'd like to speak to someone about it. I do ask my seniors at work if I don't understand things or even a couple of seniors from my college but I thought perhaps I should also ask here as well if anyone's (A2/A3/SA (although SAs will be quite busy and may not have time)) interested + can spare some time to help me understand the practicalities of GC/this career, I'd appreciate it a lot. For instance, I didn't know one had to look up similarly placed companies to assess the regulatory aspect for a requisition list. Things like that.

I won't ask you to teach me things - just help me clarify my understanding after I've read things on my own. I won't take a ton of your time and I will ensure to work on this by myself as much as I can. Thank you.
