2. Deterence mechanism: Go to war, and war = all-out war. In other words, the verbal/metaphorical equivalent of exploding a dirty bomb in a fist fight. Only let it go in a way that is bad for a bully. Never forgive for their sake, only for yours. You need to prove beyond any possible doubt that you are the stronger. Nothing else will work.

This made me wonder, what makes you guys bully people in college, workplace or other settings? Bullies of India, why do you bully?

What makes you target a particular person? What could potentially deter you from bullying?

From my experience, I have seen that bullies target weaker people than them to elevate their social status and gain approval in their group…

Usually, they target someone who stands out or is “different”…and also, people who stay alone tend to get bullied more as they don’t have social backing…

I am a first generation lawyer and it's been 3 months since I have joined a litigation chamber.The senior gives me the space to work independently on my own cases and also encourages to handle few of his own cases so that I could learn.Currently, I am being paid only 17k but I am happy with the work atmosphere.I feel like I am going okayish but being a first generation lawyer at times I feel like will it really work for me or Will I be able to fetch clients in the longer run or not and several other such questions.I have decided to litigate for next 1-2 years and therefore my question is how do I analyse as to whether litigation is working for me or not and whether I should stick to litigation in the longer run or not? Should it only be calculated in terms of the money I am getting or on the basis of getting being approached by clients? Further, what are some key pointers that will suggest I should quit lit/remain in lit/am doing good in lit? Also, what all target should I set for myself for next 1-2 years?

I started preparing as soon as I graduated with a law degree 4 years back from a tier 3 law school. As the title suggests, I couldn't make it. Now that I'm sick of trying to make it work and realise my IFS dream, I feel completely lost as to which way to go in life. Got 2 silly internships to my name so no chance of landing a job at a decent law firm. I'm 28 now and hardly know anything about litigation. Please, please help me with some advice. Thank you.

Mumbai is always the best bet due to sheer volume of vacancies followed by Kolkata rn due to an expansion but avoid chennai/pune.

Delhi is decent, as for team for a PPO anything you have experience in is your best bet to convert but purely ease of converting would be a niche team like funds or capital markets which you can grasp without too much difficulty as well.

Both of them have had a relatively disappointing track record at placements, in the past, and there has been a lot of talk about both of them doing better in the future.

In my opinion, one of them is already doing excellent in terms of academics, and that would be CNLU Patna. It is also starting to greatly improve its placements.

MNLU Nagpur, on the other hand, has also improved in terms of academics, but probably not to the same extent as CNLU. The placement statistics for MNLU Nagpur are also not looking as good as CNLU Patna. One of the main reasons for that for MNLU is its larger batch size and limited resources. They have started three different undergraduate courses, with not enough faculty for the same. The hostel arrangements at MNLU Nagpur are also problematic to say the least.

In my opinion, you should go for CNLU Patna, or even Nirma, instead of MNLU Nagpur.

The reason it seems easy to earn money on AS is because juniors working on AS pick up briefs from other courts as well, not just HC. Whether Fort, or Bandra, or Dindoshi-Borivali, it doesn't matter.

HC seniors don't pay. Period.

Furthermore, client's paying capacity on AS is almost always on the lower side, than the OS- client's paying capacity.

Naturally, money flowing in on OS is always more than AS.

Every other stakeholder, including the filing-clerk, stationery guy, and the canteen guy are paid before juniors.

AS juniors unfortunately never get the stage which OS gets

Hi! Looking for Tier 1 firms to apply for online internships, during and after March 2025. Doing a running internship isn't a possibility this semester, however, online internships are ideal since I need to gear my CV towards firms but am only on break in June, July, December and January. May I suggest getting a full vitamin panel done? Sometimes, the most simplistic of deficiencies produce the most confusing consequences (had a horrible Vitamin B12 deficiency - kept forgetting things, items kept falling from my hands, felt sleepy and energyless and depressed - ended up thinkin I just sucked as a lawyer)

The ex-girlfriend of the law student, who fell to death from the seventh floor of an apartment in Noida on Saturday, has been arrested in an abetment to suicide case. She was produced in court which granted her bail.

According to police sources, the investigation has revealed that 23-year-old Tapas, an LLB student at Amity University, died by suicide after his ex-girlfriend refused to patch up with him. When police told the court that Tapas's friends tried to convince his ex-girlfriend to patch up with him, but she refused, the court noted that this did not amount to abetment to suicide and granted her bail.

Hope you all are doing good . I think I will get into SLS Pune for BBA LLB course . I come from middle class , however my parents have enough saved up to sponsor my education for SLS Pune. Now, the thing is I have few doubts being a first gen lawyer , with 0 connections .

1. Does the University helps in getting internships in T-1 firms ? As I am first gen lawyer , with no connections , can I get an internship in T-1 firms ?

2. How are the placements ? Like in reality (Internet is saying different figures , but I want to know the actual ) . What is the average package ?

I don't know what this debate is all about. My daughter got into a Tier 2 NLU is her first attempt , she aced SLSP easily. In her next attempt she got into a Tier 1 NLU and currently studying there. She aced SLSP in her second attempt also but she told me dad it's no match to the CLAT.

How many internships did you do in total? And how many corporate/M&A internships did you do? I'm doing my 3 year llb in 2nd year right now, it's constant rejections in corporate law/m&a internships. I only have a couple of IP and a couple of litigation internships. I need to get atleast get one corporate law/m&a internship as a start to go by when applying for the next. It's frustrating to see students in my batch getting corporate law internships through "connections" as they say without less internship experience than me

I f**d up by taking law. I'm in my 3rd year,.so stuck in between. Cannot quit at all. I did couple of internships to see where my personality would fit; litigation in courts, corporate firms, few NGOs and quickly found out I absolutely cannot work in these environments. I love studying law, but I can't handle the extreme social interactions. So which jobs, if any are there, where I can still be in law, but have least interactions ? Please help.
