Apart from this, what explains inaction of NKC on the Cal HC initiated Justice (Retd) PN Sinha Inquiry. Incidentally, it was directed by DD when he was in the Cal HC. Maybe he has grown wiser in the company of CC
1. Experiences at well known shops - A M&A/ B&F internship at a T1 will be better placed than one at a T3 firm because.
2. Experiences in your interest area - If you want to strategically align your CV, highlight those parts. But make sure to have atleast one T1 internship in that area.
3. Shared practice areas - Some practices like ECM and B&F can have common skill sets, or shared due diligence work with M&A, for instance. So clubbing the two while highlighting the same shouldn't be an issue.
4. Diversity - An internship experience isn't per se an "experience", as per partners, who consider PQE only to be of any value. So a diverse internship folio helps in explaining a skill/ interest area/ all round development during an interview. Nobody ever will ask you why you chose to pursue several practices in your pre-QE, while the same isn't true of PQE which should be rather focussed because it adds up.
For example, in Trilegal you will get bonus only if you join before Jan ie last quarter and the bonus is paid at the end of April (and not March).
I think in JSA, you will get bonus only if you join before October ie half year. I think the bonus is paid sometime in June if Im not mistaken.

Jump to 2021, I found myself without any internships for the last 8 months before graduation, in the middle of a very aggressive COVID wave. Put in a lot of effort into networking, focussing on bumping up my grades to whatever extent possible, and cold emailing anyone and everyone whose email IDs I could get. I had no prospects even on the day of my online convocation ceremony. All I could see were LinkedIn updates from every one I knew from law school. This was perhaps the lowest phase of my life yet, and while my parents were extremely supportive, I could see the disappointment in their eyes.
4 weeks after my graduation, I received an internship offer from a Tier-1 firm. A professor at my law school was friends with a salaried partner at this firm (law school friends) and put in a good word for me after I ranked 1st in his elective course. I was offered a regular internship, and after days of begging to be assessed for a full-time role, I was finally extended an offer in early September of 2021. Joined in October 2021 and I've been here ever since.
I know how it feels to be in this position. It sucks. Its a weird culmination of 'what ifs' from your 5 years at law school. I won't tell you to "not panic"; but please re-direct that sense of panic in a direction where you might be able to secure an opportunity for yourself. Hell, I would even recommend that you direct this sense of panic into networking more, both inside and outside your law school. Swallow your pride and cold email partners that you'd like to (and maybe even not like to) work for. Unfortunately with law firms, placements are more a factor of 'luck' than they are of 'skill'. You just want to have a profile that ensures that when you do get lucky and land an interview, you're able to convert it into a full-time opportunity. So put your head down.

Additionally, Indian corp law and Indian review of corporate and commercial laws(irccl) are two good places for corporate law blogs. NLS business review is extremely reputed but very selective too.

I wanted to ask other A0 and seniors as to what their situation is or has been. Am I doing good for myself or am I in a worse situation. Furthermore my salary is 15/16 LPA and total yearly expenses would be around 5 LPA and I am saving almost 10 LPA.

I am currently in a tier 2 cap marks team and thinking to stay here till March 2026 to gain exposure however I am unsure about how much my package will increase and should I consider that as a important factor for switching early.

As for "connections", if you know how to do well in the application processes, you don't need any. How many times did you fail to get into multiple LLM programmes that you spread misinformation like this?
