I have a SAM PPO and I will advise you against sending emails like this. Partners and PAs get such emails far too often, which becomes annoying. The HR had specifically advised us against begging for PPOs. Instead, when speaking to them, make it clear that you are looking for a PPO. Be tactful in doing that. Do not beg.

I gave it two years in total - one law firm and one corporate. I loved the work and some of my partners and colleagues but hated everything else. I did an LLM and it was life changing. I went abroad and meet people who are not part of our rat race and doing very different things.

If you go with an open mind and let it change you, you may think of new things you want to do. I chose a path I had never even considered because it was seen as a dumb/ loser choice at my law school. That path was also hard but I kept going for 2 years and now I can say it was the best decision of my life. I love my work and did better at it than I ever expected. My classmates call me to ask how they could sell their ferrari and be happy.

Maybe you will decide that law firm work is for you after all. I know some people who genuinely enjoy it. Maybe you will choose something else. Whatever it is, it will be hard at first so you need to know why you are doing it and you need to do it because you want to, not because everyone else is doing it.

Are all of you NLU grads? Because I don't understand what's the obsession of this forum with NLUs. Glorifying NLUs in every posts and even misguiding juniors to retake clat in every college review posts. Only top 10 NLUs are good enough and below that it's not even worth it.People are even putting other law schools down even though it's not true. I'm at an NLU and have interned at various law firms and most of my seniors aren't even from NLUs. So my question is are you people all NLU graduates here and this forum is just a circlejerk of NLU grads with superiority complex? because only that justifies this behaviour.

Hi.. I am law graduate from delhi university and cleared my CS exams and also done 9 months of CS training in one of the top 200 listed company. Now i am not able to decide wheteher i should go with corporate field or switch my training to PCS firm and then start my own firm as i am confused how will i get clients

When Gen Z displaced Gen X and Gen Y, many things in college culture across law schools changed. Ragging, casual misogyny and homophobia became taboo, conversations about caste privilege became mainstream, mental health issues came out into the open, more attention was given to student rights, and corporate law was no longer seen as the only career option. Also, students became a lot more political, taking positions on the CAA, Palestine and Article 370 (whereas Gen X and Gen Y were mostly apolitical). And, of course, social media became a huge factor in people’s lives (whereas there was no social media when Gen X and early Gen Y were around).

But even Gen Z is now on its way out. Time really flies! Thus, looking ahead, what cultural shifts can we expect when Gen Alpha becomes dominant? What new things will happen?

I had the worst experience while interning at a so-called tier 1 firm. I am saying "so-called" because it doesn't pay anywhere near to other tier 1 firms. In my team, there were two other interns apart from me. Those two interns came through referal and were from shitty law school. Still, they were treated nicely and they were having upper hand compared to me. I was the one who pulled day and night to complete the work. Even after all this, associates passed their blames of silly mistaked towards me to discourage continuation of my internship. Later, they turned spiteful and startes disparaging and scolding me for no reason. I was the one facing all the heat for no reason. I belong to a lower middle class family. And my family sends me for internships after living in the hardship. My experience made feel that even after possessing all the qualifications I would not be able to achieve my aspiration because nepokids have an upperhand here. And the kids belonging from lower middle class faces a lot of difficulty in making their space even after undergoing a lot of hardships.

Still they will have their way by getting jobs through contacts in the end or rather do nothing and loll on family wealth. It's actually their way of telling u that ur efforts to look them down will never succeed, no matter how hard you try. You think you are smart, but the only one being mae a fool here is you.

NDA is offering 20+5 Lpa, is it worth taking up in terms of practical work experience and work life balance compared to other tier 1 firms which now also offer between 17-20L ? Vs. compared to S&R and TTA etc. could someone working on NDA give some insights. Is it worth interning there ?

Because the BSc. CVs, atleast as far as BO'28 is concerned, are academically and competition-wise subpar, with their rank 5 not holding up to rank 20 of BA, and their first-year internships being under T1 corp firms and judges due to their affluent/connected backgrounds.

As for same faculty, the few decent profs this college has are being spread thin commuting between both campuses, with their subpar TAs instead often giving the BA students a heavier hand than what the case would have been with the professor.

Got a decent rank in clat and there are some colleges im fine with getting with my rank however, I'm an OCI and as such I dont know if I'm eligible for counselling. I believed that OCI=NRI for educational purposes according the government but I dont know if that means I'm eligible to enter clat counselling through my general rank. If i'm not eligible through my general rank am I even eligible to enter through the NRI quota because I've done all my schooling in India and as such don't fulfill the criteria of "Done SSC in a university outside India" for foreign nationals.

Getting good money and WLB that too at such a nascent stage is next to impossible. You need to decide what is more of a priority and do accordingly. Alternatively, consider doing an LLM and giving NET. The money would be decent and so would be the WLB, but it will take a couple of hours.
