Why doesn't "Self" Made_Second-Gen know the answer to this already?
This individual is a troll, who ordinarily makes up scenarios aiming to gain traction, and talks people down owing to not javing any valid points.
One simply cannot trust such an individual.
The SelfMade_Second-Gen who cried 'Wolf'
One possible reason you may want to put it off for now is if you are in a T1, and if you may be able to save up substantially in a couple of years, it will take care of some part of the expenditure.
NAAC is a joke
1. Culture- they have an excellent senior-junior support system, which helps tremendously in moots/comps/internship opportunities/research etc. Seniors often go out of their way to help their juniors.
2. Alumni- They have an amazing and successful alumni base (i dont even need to elaborate on this)
3. Recognition- Despite what one says, all t1s in India, and multiple magic circle firms recognize nujs as a top tier institution. They prefer nujs students, and have slots for them (can't say that about the other colleges you mentioned barring lets say nluj)
4. Academics- nujs fac is decent, and academics rigorous enough to ensure you come out of nujs a good lawyer, but not so stressful that it kills you
so please do yourself a favour and choose nujs
As someone who was in your shoes not too long ago- I understand where you’re coming from. I took CLAT twice, and got a rank good enough to get into a Tier 2 NLU, my parents insisted that I go to a pvt uni instead. I am extremely privileged that way, I’ll admit.
But at that point, I felt that I was good for nothing if I didn’t get into T5 NLUs. As someone in their penultimate year with adequate mooting experience, internship experience and generally as someone doing academically decent, I’d like to tell you, except for the fees and infrastructure theres basically no difference between your education in an NLU and some pvt unis.
It really really doesn’t matter in the long run. You are no different from any NLU kid, however smart you or they think they are.
Piece of advice- at this point in your life you may not know what corporate law actually is. What you like right now may be commercial law- give it a few semesters: actually go to law school and make your decision.
Do not base your self worth off of precedents of people who have done well.
You will do extremely well yourself. Good luck!
1) how is corp law the "only" law that excites you when you've just joined University and have neither read corp or any other law for that matter. It's like saying you only like Chicago when your passport is yet to come.
2) let's say you somehow read all you had to before college. Tbe laws regarding corporations are the only thing that made your mind tickle?
P.S: I've met really amazing people from Non-NLUs yiull
Again, just sharing what this CEO said. Retweets are not endorsements! 🙂
Trilegal has already hired 2 from bo2026 (nujs and nls)
AZB also rolled out its first bo2026 ppo in oct (nujs)
unsure about the rest
You're defo not from NLS, NALSAR, NUJS, , NLUJ NLUO; they've all had their first ppos already. So, GNLU/MNLU M/HNLU?
The only firm above Trilegal is KCO now. I see in 5 years, Trilegal will beat KCO too.
Does this mean if anyone starts their law firms, there are chances that they can someday be as big or perhaps bigger than Amarchands?
I understand that we belittle Trilegal for its work culture and unending work hours but shouldn't we appreciate Trilegal founders for making it to Top 2 and beating SAM and CAM on the way?
I have an internship lined up with a T1 in Delhi in the next couple of months. I selected my preferred practice area while fulfilling the obligation with the HR.
However, I was wondering if I could call the HR to assign me a particular team/partner that I want to work under or will that be out of the norm?
I have also interacted with the PA of the said team and partner in person before so I believe I might have better luck securing a callback or a PPO during the course of the internship.
Any advice is appreciated!
I just cleared Clat 2025 ug and most probably I will be getting mnlu Mumbai. What do you think should I consider it ? The college doesn’t have its own campus and the new campus is just on papers. The hostel also shifted to Kanjurmarg/Chandivali with triple sharing. Considering all of this is it worth it ? Please need you point of view.
However, if you come from any other firm, even JSA, Argus or Saraf, you're likely to take a hit on the CTC or position (if you're not incredibly talented).

What would be the better decision ?
whether it can be considered over nusrl
My rank is 3320 general
If not nirma then what private colleges I can consider
For some context, the work in the company is quite interesting with plenty of exposure to company restructuring, contracts and funding transactions. However, I would prefer to eventually transition to a law firm team focused on M&A. I graduated with good co-curriculars and an above average CGPA.
So, I have a few questions:
1. 1. Is this the right time for me to switch?
2. 2. How likely is it that I can get into a Tier 1 law firm?
3. 3. Are there any better-paying in-house roles that could serve as a stepping stone to a law firm transition?
I am a corporate lawyer with around 16 years of experience. After working with a few top tier law firms, I went independent around 7 years back. I have a decent practice with average annual fee revenues in the range of INR 1.25 cr to 1.5 cr.
Things are generally fine, but sometimes I miss being part of the so called 'law -firm lawyers circle/ network. I would love know from folks in similar situation if they also have similar thoughts? Should I consider associating with a law firm (though I love my freedom and flexibility)?
Are there any such law-firms which might want to absorb professionals like me on my terms?
Was looking around and came across the MEXT Scholarship. I was only aware of the YLP being specific to lawyers but had no idea that MEXT also included LLM.
Just wanted to know if anyone here has any idea/has been a MEXT candidate - how the process is, the local language requirements pre and post exam, and the experience in Japan.
I strongly felt that after looking at the 2026 senior recruits from our university.
