I'm considering judiciary as well as Law firms. But since past few days, I'm thinking about the Salary part. So, I've few questions about Law firms, I would be really grateful if somebody having first hand experience can give their perspective to a naive kid:
1. Does an Associate makes 90LPA post PQE ? Is it really common for someone to reach there?
2. Does an associate (or whatever the 'post' is) earns in crores after 12-13 years?
3. How much is the probability of quitting, by the time..?
4. How are the working hours, by 9 PQE?
5. How is PQE decided?
6. If the salary part is correct, then why does people complain all the time about their lives. Health detoriation is the factor? (Mental and Physical).
Sorry for asking such naive questions, but it would be really helpful if someone can explain. Thanks a lot!

Would there be discrimination - depends. (For example, some people might not mingle up with you because of your caste, some people will try to avoid you.) So very subtle discrimination but it happens but please don't give it any heed. Those losers are anyway not worth talking to.

Pay is not more than 25k for 3 years experience.
They don't pay interns until i interned in 2024 August.
So far as "doing everything", from what I have learnt from Delhi circles, the condition is better, since in Delhi circles you are paid on similar lines and you do "everything". However, not everyone in Delhi permits you to take personal work while remaining associated with the office. In contrast, in Allahabad, with higher pay you are required to justify it by being diligent in drafting, arguments and dealing with clients, but at the same time I haven't come across a single chamber refusing its juniors to take personal matters.
I have a offer from tier 2 firm as an associate and a offer of paralegal from a tier 1 firm.
Note paralegal is paid but considering the amount i less which i am getting in tier 2.
What to choose.
Once foreign accountancy firms came in the entire market changed. Until a market is monopolised by Indian forces which work on the mentality of exploitation, it can never prosper for the workers, only for the employers.
Having read the A.K Balaji judgement and the Advocates Act, I have come to the conclusion that the Act has to be amended for foreign firms to be allowed to- no way around it.
As I understood the Modi government is for that. How do we as lawyers reach out to the BCI to expedite this process? The Delhi high court writ will also be rendered infructious once the act is amended.
Genuinely looking for answers. Corp lawyers as a group are very complacent. Let’s do something about our own futures please.
