Rich kids going to a concert isn't some matter of public interest.
There's also the fact PPL (on pure luck) did get tickets legitimately so lmao
It feels like a sarkaari daftar which doesn't start before 11:30 a.m. and has samosas in the evening. Good work life balance and chill life - you can go chill with your fam and be happy that you walk back with a Tier 1 salary! Can easily give AZB and Trilegal litigations peeps serious complex lol
It's that time of year where bonuses are near (for some of us), and splurging is expected (nah, encouraged). Do share what your peers/seniors/juniors/clients are up to this festive season. Can be the aspirational, the cringe, the chindi, and the genuinely sweet.
I can start: T1/M&A team in Bombay, the recently minted PA seems to have picked up an entry level Rolex and keeps trying to use it as a conversation starter. Except he was flexing to a young lady associate from another team and didn't know that her dad a member of the promoter family of a listed business. She was wearing a month's salary worth of accessories but this parvenu PA couldn't tell. But credit to the associate, she was classy and polite and humoured the poor guy!
Please leave more fun, gossipy anecdotes in the comments.
TOODLES.
For all others, we are still left with the same old Salaries. Especially A1s and many A2s whose Salaries are still lesser than A0s.
They try to justify all of this by saying, you'll be paid in arrears. But what about the earnings lost on that income had I invested it back then.

If youβre too inhibited or entitled to approach senior professors who might significantly help your career - you might not get far in academia. Asking for help is a big important skill.
Iβve been mentored by some top professors at nls. I had to approach them and prove to them It was worth it to invest time and money in me. It wasnβt hard but it was absolutely the best decision I made career wise.
Any suggestions? I like litigation so AOR filing offices, places where I get plenty of work and maybe a little cha-ching (unlikely) would be really appreciated.
I have a fairly decent CV, batch rank and internship experience in my NLU but I'm sad its a T3 one.
The 3rd year girl had already written a whole letter of narratives at NLUD. Now just defend it. People are not ready to accept the hollowness, This place has. Only MEDIA hype.
What exactly is the university doing that 4 such young students have killed themselves in last few weeks? SHAME.
Young people, particularly in early adolescence, are at a sensitive phase of development. Their brains are developing, their relationships with others are developing, their identity and self-esteem are also developing. And right now, when I talk to young people on the road, they consistently tell me three things about social media: They say it makes them feel worse about themselves; it makes them feel worse about their friendships; and they canβt get off it.
This is not surprising, in part because these platforms have been designed to maximize the amount of time people spend on them, not necessarily to maximize how well you spend that time or how supported you are in your development of healthy relationships. Not only are adolescents spending many hours on social media each day, but that is time that they are taking away from sleep, from exercise, from in-person interaction with people, from schoolwork and from other activities that may bring them joy.
Thereβs also the experience that many people have on social media of being exposed to harmful content, and of being immersed in a culture where they are constantly comparing themselves to other peoplesβ profiles and posts, which often leads them to feel worse about themselves. This is despite the fact that what you see on social media is not always an accurate reflection of whatβs happening.
Young people tell me they feel caught up in hustle culture. What theyβre saying to me was that they felt that they were being asked to chase certain objectives β getting a job with a fancy title, making a lot of money, becoming famous, acquiring power. And not only did many of them say that they were exhausted, but they werenβt sure that was going to bring them happiness. This is where we have to pause and ask ourselves: Are we pushing our kids to pursue whatβs really going to lead to their happiness and their fulfillment?

Any help would be dearly appreciated.
Thank you.
Is this something peculiar to NLUD, or just part of the larger unfortunate trend of suicides happening across law schools? If itβs the latter, are we then seeing the inevitable repercussions of the mental health trauma late-Gen Z has undergone??? To recap, this generation was born between 2003 to 2006, so their life would have been as follows: 1) infancy during a global recession; 2) childhood during the social media boom (and associated bullying and extremism); 3) adolescence during COVID lockdowns and learning from screens, without any social interaction; 4) current college years during a period of jobless growth, high stress, tough competition and toxic atmosphere in college. β¦ Surely this is going to take a toll?
