There is a systematic issue in not just Big 4's but law firms, consultancies, banks and such places where the end product / service is the result of individual's own efforts
I have worked as associate with t-1 firm. Few things that heard and experience in first 3 months of my joining
1. That these new kid need huge as break in name of holidays don't they see work. Fact check we are using our mandatory leaves not extra. So our leaves our choice
2. You are not available on Saturday and Sunday why isn't it most flaunted fact of SAM and other t-1 firms that Saturday and Sunday are mandatory off are they. Sr saying that we appreciate people taking Saturday and Sunday off
What their to appreciate about isn't what you said to us while offering the job and isn't it same thing that firm claims on LinkedIn and social media platforms a
3. assigning work at the end of the day or weekend - truth about this fact is over commitment without asking the jr. Only delegatiing the work, when the realisation hot upon a SA that he can't do it ( simple word dumping the work when it hard to be done )
4 failure of person joining as Ao is the failure of sr. Reason it was you who failed to guide her or him you can't leave some one without guidance when they have no idea to sail
5 a1- a4 new joined can't replace you stop being rude to them and telling them you can't guide through.with their
2. ibps is an excellent option. also try for sebi in case you are eligible. but dont get tangled in the web of entrance exams. it is a colossal waste of time after a point. you can earn everything back but not your health (with exceptions), reputation (with exceptions) and most importantly time (no exceptions).
3. any such course is at best an add-on. would you care to pay extra for the aisle/window seat and the shit sandwich if your main goal is to fly from a to b? prioritise your health time and money in that order. don't spend money and waste your precious time out of fomo. some courses may be useful but most are usually trash. learn to spot the useful ones. for ex. if you are in bombay and you are interested in securities law and want to pursue a course in it then where should you apply?
4.(bonus) start working with lawyers who practice in nclt and roc if nothing else works. your bad cgpa will not be a factor if you can deliver results. gradually transition to small boutique firms doing the kind of work you are interested in. the only way to compensate for your so called mistakes (which in the long-run may not feel like mistakes-you might even realize they were blessings-in-disguise) is to silently work towards becoming a domain expert by working with domain experts and building a reputation for delivering results. ruthless cost cutting on personal expenses-stringent budgeting-brutal elimination of frivolous expenses-avoid getting married or becoming a parent-do not waste too much money on depreciating assets-avoid saving and learn to make informed investments-make yourself the most well-read person on the domain you are in-interact with relevant firm partners on linkedin-publish your thoughts on the the specific domain in newspapers or your blog or linkedin or your college magazine/publications.
It is the same as any other tier 1 banking finance team, though they pay like tier 3.

Are we truly on the right path? Because my partner insists that we cannot take leave during hearings, regardless of illness or personal loss, because we are "lawyers." Yet, the partner can freely attend cricket matches or weddings, even when it means seeking adjournments or extensions.
Anyone with the similar experience?
I am a law graduate from Bangalore, shifting to Delhi in the next few weeks to pursue a career in litigation practice (joining a law chamber). I desperately need help regarding the type of clothes women wear in Delhi, especially during the winter. I will be getting my license this month.
1. Winter Protection Clothes β What would be suitable for a professional setting? Can we wear over coats on black blazers? I have never lived in cold weather in my life before
2. Places to Buy Clothes β Could you suggest some decent brands that are not too expensive?
3. Salwar Kameez β Is it allowed in courtrooms?
4. Collar Styles β What kind of collars are commonly used?
5. White Shirts with Black Button Lining β I saw a shirt like this at Westside in the formals section. Are such styles acceptable? After all, we litigation girlies stick only to white, something different in the shirts wouldn't do (teary eyed)?
Thank youu buddies
Thanks in advance
I am an associate at A2 level in a tier 2 firm. I would like to request your valuable advice on how effective legal recruitment firms like Vahura, Michael Page etc. Also can you apply through more than one recruiter at the same time? I have recently been approached by a lot of legal recruitment firms over the span of a few months and unfortunately none of them so far have led to a fruitful opportunity. What are the implications of I apply to the same firm through 2 different recruiters for different opportunities at different times (say at least 3 months apart)?
Thank you for your time.

Has someone else faced this? Someone please clarify the further course of action π
I will be proceeding to attempt the second round shortly.
Is it feasible to get good placements in R&D of companies like TVS, Honda, Nerolac, Cipla or tier one law firms like Remfry Sagar/ KCO through a degree in LLM (IPR) from IIT KGP.
Please mention if you are a student or an alumni of the same university.
Note : - Being from non-science background I can go forward with patents. So, kindly suggest scope in trademark & copyright
Pls be rest assured, nothing will change for the better. Consider focussung on marks as they 'relatively' more objective if you deal w the professor's individual issues.
To law firms/lawyers (who are in a hiring position) and seeing this thread- please look after your young colleagues and donβt have such unreasonable expectations.
To us youngsters- letβs quit if such a situation comes. No money/career growth can replace health and family/personal time.

The changes are one of the most far-reaching set of measures undertaken by an app to address teenagersβ use of social media, as scrutiny over young peopleβs experiences online has ramped up. In recent years, parents and childrenβs groups have warned that Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and other apps have regularly exposed children and teenagers to bullying, pedophiles, sexual extortion and content promoting self-harm and eating disorders....
While the overhaul may be well received by parents, some teenagers β who are an important part of Instagramβs user base β may be less pleased. Teenage influencers who keep their accounts public to gain new followers could balk at the changes. Nearly half of U.S. teenagers ages 13 to 17 use Instagram at least once a day, according to a survey last fall from Pew Research, making it the fourth most popular social network among young people in America, after YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat.
