2. If the marking is done properly, there is no way anyone can bullshit on those papers. If you have problems with marking standards, why don't you produce evidence to substantiate your accusation?
The question is silly and contemptible because it is like asking if Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE, NYU, Harvard, Yale or Toronto would accept good students who just wanted to become legal practitioners.
Target money if you are starting YT channel.. hire a beautiful female to be presenter of the content.. there is a better pull with this..
I go to a tier-2 NLU and initially believed it was on par with the likes of NUJS, NLS, etc. But reality set in—I realized the differences are real. The culture at tier-1 NLUs, where seniors offer tremendous help, the abundance of resources, the generally more rigorous academic environment, and the preferences of top firms like A&O and HSF, do set them apart. Being at a top NLU does make a significant difference.
However, I genuinely believe you can still excel from where you are. Focus on making your CV exceptional: excel in ADR or Moot Courts (I know it's challenging with less guidance and resources), publish outstanding work, and most importantly, aim to be in the top 5 of your batch. From what I know, firms do recruit from tier 2/3 NLUs as well, though they may take fewer candidates than from tier 1s. Being in the top 5 will ensure you get great internships, whether in litigation or corporate law. Network extensively and reach out to as many people as possible. Climb the ladder slowly but surely, and I’m confident you’ll do just fine.

In bigger teams, you are just doing mind numbing work with extreme deadlines most of the time. If it’s your first experience of a “real job”, you will end up hating law. Not the best way to start your career.
If not, then we are collectively glad that you got schooled.

1. The salaries offered by SNU and BITS are comparable but even if not, and even if one takes a steep cut and goes to NLSIU, it’s so much better to live in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai etc than Jagdishpur village in Haryana. That place is a dump! No good hospitals, schools, restaurants or malls nearby. Dark roads. And very unsafe for both women! Full of drunken thugs and goons. You need to live like a bird in a gilded cage, staying confined inside campus and your accommodation. Yes, Delhi is a 1.5 hour drive away, but so what? So You can’t travel that distance everyday.
2. Jindal students are not the only ones who pay high fees. So do students at ISB, private medical colleges and private engineering colleges. Even Ashoka, Manipal etc. But the students at Jindal are extremely spoilt, arrogant, and disrespectful to faculty. The thuggish ones act that way because they are from families that have money but no culture, treating everyone poorer than them with scorn. The woke ones act that way because they view teachers imposing discipline as “fascist oppressors”.
@OP, don't buy into this BS. SRL hasn't "overhired". The FinTech & FSR team in particular has only hired 3 freshers and they have enough work to keep them busy all the time. The work is increasing year by year as the firm is growing. Give your best shot and all the best!
1. Work at a full service or a boutique law firm after choosing a practice area.
2. Go In-House with a corporate.
3. Corporate advisory with business consultancy firms.
4. Start your own practice on corporate laws and matter- you could work on transactions or just do plain advisory.
5. Policy drafting-corporate law specific or non-corporate law specific.
6. Get into government services by becoming a legal officer with RBI or SEBI

The PIL is an interesting one because the bandh is from 6 am to 6 pm and the court will hear the case at around 11 am, when the bandh has already started. The order depends on the judge hearing it. An impartial judge ought to say that the right to protest is a fundamental right but you cannot inconvenience citizens.
For content, you need to start with your own and ensure you post quality content. Your website will mostly gain traffic from law students like us who'd be searching for content for their assignments. If you do manage to post quality and ample content, you'll gain traction and start receiving publications; initally from law students like us itself, but eventually, the wiser students and practitioners of law.
Remember, building anything takes time, patience and consistence. It's not much different than building a youtube channel, albeit a little more difficult since people consume lesser worded content than audio visual content. Yet, if you're truly passionate about it, you'll put in the effort and it'd work out. So, good luck! Looking to visit it sometime soon :)

Most cases, it's best to just let it go, as frustrating as that is. If it's in good humor, try to play along. If you feel there is malice, just be quiet but look visibly uncomfortable. If someone is very mean to you, try expressing it calmly and politely, emphasizing that you are just a student and want to learn. And of course, avoid that person in the future if possible.
If you are a girl and a male senior is doing this to you, please, please express this with one other trusted person in the room - "XYZ made me uncomfortable, please don't do this again."
