2. Remember, there are (a) lots of applicants getting good grades applying/competing for these law firm jobs; and (b) lots of applicants who have joined/contributed to a society or their leadership. With a good firm, you could just as easily have 10 or 15 society/committee presidents/convenors/leaders applying for an internship, PPO or whatever, so the firms aren't spoilt for choice.
3. This means that if you take the advice of joining somewhere you really enjoy and that is meaningful (so not just any random old tired committee which would be better off being put out of its misery), you have to set yourself apart there, too; you have to do some really boss work that you can talk about in your interviews or applications.

Request the associates to share their experience as what I have gathered information about the team is that, it looks good to work with but once you are in the fence, it’s a different gameplay altogether.
The treatment to interns and associates is very different. Your mental health will be severely affected if you work here. Can ask ex-employees of the team. It is a life time traumatising experience. Wish no one has to go through such hell hole. Amen.
