CAM acts on $975m sale of Jindal power plant to JSW Energy

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised JSW Energy on its Rs 6500 crore ($975m) buy of Jindal Steel & Power’s thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh.

CAM Mumbai and Delhi infrastructure and projects partners L Viswanathan and Ramanuj Kumar, respectively, Mumbai competition partner Nisha Uberoi and Mumbai capital markets partner Gaurav Gupte.

“JSW Energy will also pay an interest-bearing advance of Rs 500 crore to JSPL after the deal has been approved by shareholders of both companies and the Competition Commission of India,” reported the Economic Times.

Is Mr. Ramanujam Kumar involved in anything from Delhi? I was given to understand that he was going as the flagbearer of the Projects team. Has he been able to get any matter independently?
