Khaitan, BMR, Cuatrecasas, on Rs 150 crore Minda Rinder buy

Khaitan & Co and Cuatrecasas, Goncalves Pereira advised Spain-based Rinder on its Euro 20 million (Rs 147 crore) acquisition by Indian auto parts maker Minda Industries which was advised by BMR Legal.

Khaitan Mumbai partners Rabindra Jhunjhunwala and Bijal Ajinkya, associate partner Surbhi Kejriwal, senior associate Kaushik Rajan, associate Abhinav Bhatia and principal associate Ritu Shaktawat, and Cuatrecasas, Goncalves Pereira acted for Rinder.

BMR Legal partner Amit Khansaheb acted for Minda.

The acquisition includes 100 per cent equity holding in Rinder India and Light Systems and Technical Centre in Spain, and 50 per cent equity holding in Rinder Riducu. Colombia, reported the Economic Times.

There is no partner in Cuatrecasas by the name of Goncalves Pereira (except on honorary partner). The name of the firm itself is "Cuatrecasas Goncalves Pereira". God only knows where LI gets its information from...
