Khaitan, JSA on $4m RPG Lifesciences biotech unit sale to Intas

Khaitan & Co advised Mumbai-based RPG Life Sciences on the Rs 25 crore ($3.7m) sale of its biotech unit to Intas Pharmaceuticals which was advised by J Sagar Associates (JSA).

Khaitan partner Bhavik Narsana, senior associate Vidushi Gupta and associates Abhinav Bhatia and Sagar BM acted for RPG

JSA partner Rinku Ambekar acted for Intas.

“The formulations business contributes about 60 per cent to the company’s overall sales,” reported the Business Standard.

Khaitan required one partner one SA and two associates for a deal less than 25 Crores? That too while advising the seller (so even the DD defense goes out of the wind). Wow!
