MNK structures Rs 300 crore Peninsula township investment via debenture with SB

MNK Law Offices partners Nivedita Tiwari and Srinivas Kilambi with associates Abhilash Pillai and Aashish Vats acted for Peninsula Brookfield Investment Managers on its investment in Ansal Hi-Tech Townships through Rs 300 crore ($50m) of non-convertible debentures.

SB Partners, led by partners Samir Bedi and Ashwin Mathews, acted for Ansal.

Kilambi had joined MNK after leaving KSB Partners, a firm he co-founded, which then became SB Partners.

The investment in Ansal by the joint venture between Peninsula Land and Brookfield Asset Management will be used towards a 2,500 acre Noida-based development that will complete in five to six years, reported Mint.

What is interesting is that LI forgot to mention/ ignored that Srinivas Kilambi was the K in the erstwhile KSB Partners (now SB Partners).

Legally India has given a link to the Sb story. Maybe for idiots like you it should have been more explicit. How does it matter anyway?

Now now, no need to idiot anyone... :)

Though thanks for leaping to our defence! However, Anon's observation was indeed fair and interesting, and could have mentioned in the original story, which we have now done :)

Mnk was not formed by Kilambi. It was formed in 1996 and Kilambi joined in 2014

Seems MNK is back in news. Both Indo-French JV and Peninsula deal are big transactions falling in the hands of MNK. This deal shows MNK is seriously building its finance practice. After getting 'K' of KSB and Vats from AZB, this is the firm to look at, amongst others, in banking and finance in months to come..

& Looks like Nivedita plans to add another sector to her expertise.

I believe Abhilash Pillai is also the new real estate rising star. He ably assisted Nivedita on what I understand was a fairly complex transaction that took almost a year to close.

MNK was established in 1996 as Mukherjee and Khandelwal and around 2010 it was renamed as MNK Law Offices. Not sure how Srini can form MNK in 2013:-)? Anyway, congrats Nivedita and Srini.
