SAM, Khaitan sell FabFurnish to Future Group for around $2.6m

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) advised Future Group on its acquisition of online furniture retail store FabFurnish which is operated by Bluerock eServices. Bluerock was advised by Khaitan & Co.

SAM Mumbai partner Shuva Mandal, Delhi partner Arvind Sharma, principal associate Janani Sekhar and associate Rohan Jain acted for Future Group.

Khaitan Mumbai director Ketan Kothari, principal associate Stuti Galiya and associate Abhinav Bhatia acted for Bluerock.

Germany’s Rocket Internet, which also backs Jabong and Foodpanda, backs FabFurnish, reported NDTV Profit.

Update 10 August 2016: Estimated average deal value of Rs 17.5 crore added: “Future Group may pay anywhere between Rs.15 crore and Rs.20 crore in cash to buy the Rocket Internet-backed start-up, two people aware of the development said on condition of anonymity,” reported Mint.
